Looking into R&B
This is a screenshot taken from one of my
previous posts where I begin to look into
the layout of one R&B
contents page.
Vibe magazine
The No.1 on the charts column informative, easy to read and easily accessible as it is eye catching with the thin lines of rainbow colours which will attract the audience with an inviting feel. The main subheadings here are bright contrasting to a darker background which is also eye catching to the audience so they can straight away find what they are looking for. In this column we can also see that the magazine provides for all audiences as there are various music genres such as dance or rock and roll.
Overall, this layout for a music magazine is very unique as very few contents pages consist of the No1. chart hits which is why it will attract an audience further. Billboard
magazine
What I think
I think the best contents page to follow for ideas is Billboard as it is informative and is more like the style of my cover page. Vibe on the other hand has much less writing and more space for an artists image, I feel that this contents page wouldn’t match my cover as it looks too simple and would not follow my flatplan.
