Sustainability plan
yes For digital skills to translate into widespread, sustainable opportunities a holistic, “ecosystem” approach is required. That is, developing an overall enabling environment
Working according to the activities of 2020
- The sustainability of the hub is based on
- - An owned center equipped with furniture and logistics
- - The experience of the hub team over the years
- - Partnership that has been strengthened with partners
7
that provides aspiring tech workers with the right skills and knowledge, supportive leadership, conducive culture, and access to appropriate financial and human resources required for success. Therefore, GSG’s approach to further increasing income-generating opportunities provided by the internet has been to strengthen multiple pillars simultaneously: technical talent, professional skills, and cross-cutting support for a strong, inclusive, sustainable community. This has resulted in a structure where all programme offerings are co-financed by donors as we scale up the educational programmes that have proven successful. We are excited at the possibility of leveraging Enabel's funding to further expand GSG's programming for coding education, online
and donors over the past years
8
freelancing training, and the supportive community building activities that enable, sustain, and improve professional skill levels in the Palestinian technology sector.
Strategic Priorities
- Promoting awareness about entrepreneurship
- Supporting the development of quality incubators
- Incubation and acceleration of companies
- Encouraging investment and developing the local economy
- Support for youth employment
- Support centers
The program, ultimately, aims to instill ambitious women and youth in Gaza and the West Bank with the belief that they can create employment opportunities for themselves in what is an exceedingly challenging environment, as well as provide targeted support to address key barriers to employment and ensure their success. As such, our theory of change is: If we provide the right technical and professional education to women, men, and youth; develop a supportive, curious, and inclusive tech community that shares knowledge among its members; and strengthen international networks that provide Palestinians with the exposure and market
-Provide services to those who are Vulnerable and creative. -Sponsoring innovational projects for children and youth -Promotion for the idea of social innovation -Working /coordinating at an international level Sponsoring innovation and innovational people locally
- Redirect the compass of entrepreneurship to the development direction.
Expand the area of the hub and increase the capacity.
9
linkages to effectively participate in the global economy, then we will create reliable, long-term tech-enabled income opportunities for Palestinians that transcend physical and political barriers of the traditional economy.
Budget amount 1,000,000 USD circa USD$3.5m per annum
5000000 USD 1,000, 000 USD 150, 000 USD

Remarks
No No The center is an emerging center that needs financial capabilities to develop programs and services for innovational people (youth and children), so the center is looking for partners to expand services and activities for this category.
No
D. Other Issues
Outreach and accessibility to vulnerable groups i.e.
- Disabled program - Marginalized companies
As Palestine’s leading tech hub, GSG has a responsibility to champion the principles of diversity and inclusion, to ensure
- Vulnerable groups. - People with disabilities
(PWDs). - Orphans.
The hub services are available to all groups, and there is no exception to any group, and there is
The service of the hub is exclusive to females,
10
youth in general, women and people with disabilities, and people living in remote areas
that Palestine’s blossoming tech ecosystem is a welcoming place for all members of society to access and thrive in. We are firm believers in equity preceding equality - meaning, we realize that conducting outreach and making space for marginalized groups to participate in GSG programs is only the first step. True inclusion goes further than representation and providing equal access to opportunities. It acknowledges the disproportionate barriers faced by a certain group of people - whether based on gender, race, age, education levels, physical ability levels - and takes action to reduce those barriers.
- People suffering poverty. - People with critical social
situations.
no programs intended for a particular group , just there is a “ najaha” program that target 5000 girls to support their initiatives and empowerment in society. The hub seeks to reach innovators, entrepreneurs in the field of agriculture and non-agriculture sectors
-
And target the females from marginalized areas. There are no restrictions towards people with disabilities.
Link with and access to the labor market in the identified sectors
- Marketing project products for malls
- Marketing companies - Advertising and media
companies.
Gaza Sky Geeks is connected to the local and global tech sector through its expansive network and connections. This has been built over many years through its initial connection with Google (and Google For Startups specifically) which led to exposure across Silicon Valley as well as the Founders and Coders Academy in London. This has been supported by the extensive efforts by staff across all levels in promoting Gaza Sky Geeks at conferences
- Professional development before and after work
- Training programs for young people before graduation .
- On-the-job training programs.
- Create opportunities for the heads of families and providing small projects.
- Home renovation for vulnerable groups.
Most of the programs offered by the hub are based on networking with relevant stakeholders and the private sector
- For example: for Al-Ajwa project, there was links and coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture and the Association of Businessmen and Traders.
- There are close relationships with other training centers
11
and events (local and international), various media channels as well as ‘word of mouth’ via our large pool of mentors and supporters. Gaza Sky Geeks connects its staff and community with these networks via training, mentoring and employment opportunities.
Capacity to apply other models and services
All programs have a models Gaza Sky Geeks is a highly iterative program which is constantly striving to adapt and improve, malleable to new opportunities which contribute to supporting it’s ultimate objective - building a globally competitive tech ecosystem within Palestine.
Yes After expanding the scope of the center to include the agricultural and non-agricultural sector, there is flexibility to accommodate any model that crosscutting with the hub’s goals
They update their models yearly, and the have the ability to modify and update their models that meet with their mission.
