We are delighted to announce the 5th SRP Americas Structured Products & Derivatives conference at The Revere Hotel in Boston on June 16 & 17, 2016. Following the tremendous success of last year’s event, we are excited to welcome you to a conference which is now an established part of a portfolio that includes London, Hong Kong, and Stockholm. As the structured products markets in the Americas absorb and attempt to interpret the insolvency rules included in the Financial Stability Board’s total loss absorbing capacity, or TLAC, SRP has convened a panel of regulatory experts to offer guidance on the degree to which this new international regulation will affect funding levels for banks when creating structured products.
International regulations are also being created for indices, the impact of which in relation to benchmarks are uncertain. Will the International Organisation of Securities Commissions, or Iosco capture strategy indices and also delta one products based on as few as two equities in its new rules? We have congregated a panel of the leading officials from the main index companies, including Alex Matturi, CEO of S&P Dow Jones Indices and Ron Bundy, CEO Benchmarks at FTSE Russell, along with practitioners to evaluate the potential effect of the benchmark regulations.
Maintaining an emphasis on the practical elements of the market, we have arranged panels that investigate innovations in product design, the degree to which volatility is manufactured in product form, as well as an assessment of how to handle this most complex of concepts.
Furthermore, we provide an insight into the way in which products are distributed to retail but also don wealth management and private banking channels. In addition, we are providing panels on insurance that delve into how products are created but also how they are distributed to this institutional markets.
The means of creating and disseminating products stand at the forefront of how structured products work, with the most recent emphasis on the development of technology that enables creators and distributors to manage efficiently while also considering how they might integrate platforms into their processes. Outside
the Americas, the development of these platforms is all the rage, with issuers and, slowly, the buyside taking an active interest in how they might gain access to a better variety of products in a more efficient and cheaper form.
As well as panels concentrating on environmental investing and the crucial art of asset allocation, we include a leaders’ panel at the end of day one, during which the major topics of the day will be discussed and debated by a panel of senior professionals who lead structured products for the region.
We look forward to your involvement in the debate and hope you enjoy the event as well as the awards ceremony that follows the end of the first day of the conference.
Regards,
Richard Jory [email protected]
