SKILLS ENHANCEMENT WORKSHOPS
An area in the Science & Technology Hall has been specially created to provide AUA industry partners the opportunity to hold product demonstrations and skills-building “workshops” for attendees. The AUA has embraced these highly sought-after pro-grams and promotes them as part of its Science & Technology Hall educational offerings. Attendees love the hands-on opportunity and consider it the “best way to learn.”
EXPOSUITES
Exhibitor-sponsored meeting rooms in the Science & Technol-ogy Hall, these spaces may be used for internal company meetings or private meetings with attendees without having to leave the Science & Technology Hall.
FEATURED OPPORTUNITIES Supporting an official conference event or activity not only offers a more rewarding experience for attendees, but it also increases your company’s visibility. In addition, the AUA will give special recognition to supporters through official signage and prominent listings in Annual Meeting materials.
THE AUA SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY HALL
Extending the Educational Experience
In 2009, the AUA re-launched its exhibit hall as the new Science & Technology Hall to reflect its commitment to making the exhibits an extension of the attendees’ educational experience. We introduced unopposed exhibit hours for the Science & Technology Hall on Saturday and during the lunch timeframe on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
INDUSTRY CLINICAL UPDATE THEATER
The AUA Industry Clinical Update Theater will offer the oppor-tunity for exhibitors to reach hundreds of attendees at once with promotional educational talks presented in the Science & Tech-nology Hall during exhibit hours. The space has a 400 seat capac-ity, with additional standing-room-only space to accommodate up to 750. This is a can’t-miss opportunity to present your latest research and products to AUA attendees.
INDUSTRY CLINICAL UPDATE—EVENING PROGRAMS
Held in the Convention Center or at designated AUA event hotels, these programs capitalize on the unopposed evening hours to cap-ture AUA attendees for promotional dinner lectures. These pro-grams are promoted along with the programs in the Science & Technology Hall; we also offer customized promotional packages to invite attendees to your program and build great attendance.
HANDS-ON PAVILION
AUA gathers our Skills Enhancement Workshops, which feature interactive product demonstrations led by selected thought lead-ers, with our new Product Comparison Showcase, where attendees can compare devices in an “apples-to-apples” format, to create our Hands-on Pavilion. This area of the Science & Technology Hall will be promoted as the destination for innovative hands-on dem-onstrations on the exhibit floor.
“DIAGNOSIS OF THE DAY”
This new traffic builder activity is designed to engage attendees and provide a fun way to continue the education on the Science & Technology Hall. Attendees will receive the facts of a difficult case via the Annual Meeting Mobile App each morning; in the after-noon, they can attend a vigorous discussion of the case diagnosis, held in the Science & Technology Hall.
RESIDENTS BOWL TOURNAMENT
Attendees are invited to show off their urologic knowledge, their competitive spirit, and their school loyalty at our Jeopardy-style “Residents Bowl” tournament. Teams composed of urology residents will compete school vs. school to answer questions on urologic medicine, cheered on by alumni and other attendees. Tournaments will be held Saturday, Sunday and Monday on the Science & Technology Hall.
PATIENT SAFETY PAVILION
All medical specialties consider maintaining patient safety dur-ing treatment, particularly surgical treatment, a high priority – the Patient Safety Pavilion on the Science & Technology Hall features exhibiting companies with new technologies that help urolo-gists and the urology care team maintain the highest standards of patient safety.

AUA ANNUAL MEETING SPONSORSHIP POLICY
1 The AUA Annual Meeting is the cornerstone of professional education for urologists and allied health-care professionals. The AUA manages the level of promotional efforts to maintain a rea-sonable balance between industry exposure and scientific integrity.
2 AUA offers to certain companies the opportunity to sponsor activities, such as promotional talks or hands-on demonstrations, or to take advantage of advertising and promotional display venues or products directed to Annual Meeting attendees (known hereafter as “Sponsorships.”)
3 No contract for Sponsorships is accepted until approved by AUA. AUA reserves the right to reject any application for Sponsorships or promotional activities or products for any reason.
4 AUA Annual Meeting indemnity provisions, as stated in the Annual Meeting Contract to Exhibit, apply to AUA Sponsorships.
5 Any Annual Meeting Sponsor must abide by all Annual Meeting Exhibitor Rules and Regula-tions, including the AUA “Speaker-Faculty Stan-dard Operating Procedures.” Skills Enhancement Workshop sponsors must abide by the AUA Rules and Regulations regarding booth activities. (To view the complete Exhibitor Rules and Regula-tions, visit www.AUA2012.org.)
6 In order to secure a Sponsorship, a company must contract an exhibit booth in the Science & Tech-nology Hall.
7 Exhibitors who violate any portion of this policy risk consequences that include, but are not limited to, being barred from exhibit and sponsorship opportunities at future Annual Meetings.
8 Annual Meeting Sponsors must agree to the Annual Meeting Advertising Guidelines, as follows:

Saturday Afternoon Reception
Saturday, May 19, 2012 4–6 p.m.
Last year’s Saturday Afternoon Reception, A Taste of Washington, DC, was greatly enjoyed by both exhibitors and attend-ees. We thank all of our participating exhibitors!
Atlanta is truly the soul of Southern cooking—the 2012 “Taste of Atlanta” will showcase the celebrated cooking of the Southeastern US. The 2012 “Taste of Atlanta” Saturday Afternoon Reception promises to provide a tantalizing selection of Southern cuisines to attract attendees to the Science & Technology Hall.
The AUA will provide entertainment and food stations throughout the Science & Technology Hall; industry participants are encouraged to join the festivities by pro-viding food and drinks at their booths.
The AUA will distribute a menu that high-lights exhibitors who participate in the reception, which will be distributed to all attendees as they enter the Science & Tech-nology Hall. More information regarding the reception will be available in February 2012.
