Building Missouri’s Project List

• MoDOT continuously works with local partners to identify regional priorities

• November -- MoDOT reviewed regional priorities that could be ready to go in 90 to 120 days

• December – shared list of 34 possible projects

• February – met with planning partners about a pool of $965 million of possible projects

• February/March – MHTC awarded 37 projects

• Project list further refined and expanded with input from partners

Building Missouri’s Project List

• The current list includes $577 million in projects. An extra 10 percent was built in the project list.

• Our bids have been coming in 10 – 15 percent lower than our budget

• Ensures MoDOT will qualify for redistribution of funds not spent by other states

What’s Next?

• Finalized list will be presented to the MHTC at a special meeting for final approval

• Projects must be placed on STIP/TIP

• Projects must be posted on modot.org and recovery.gov

• Governor must certify maintenance of effort for state transportation funding

• Contracts put out for bid

• Put people to work building the projects
