- 3. Program Description.-Benefits for the Student
- Learn about the history and culture of the Assistants home country.
- Improve their language skills in English through interaction with native speakers.
- 4. Candidates requirements
- Hold a U.S. or Canadian Passport
- Have an intermediate/advanced level of Spanish
- Either of these:

- Be a Junior or Senior College student

- Have completed a BA, BS, MA or MS
- 5. Assistants duties (1)
- 12 hours per week.-

- Help teachers in language and culture classes
-
- Make presentations to social studies, art and music classes.
- 6. Assistants duties (2)
-
- Conduct small conversational groups of students.

- Participate in extracurricular activities (theater performances, school trips, sporting events)
-
- 7. Specific conditions of the grants
- Monthly allowance of 700 after taxes (US $1,025/ Ca $ 1,037)

- From Oct. through May

- Regardless of vacation periods

- Teacher orientation course upon arrival in Spain.
- Medical insurance.
- Official Certificate, issued by the Regional Education Authorities.
