Tubing
◊ LOCUS tube fitting is able to assemble andconnect with Copper tube and AL Coated tubeby a simple wrench.
◊ AL Coted Tube is light and easily bendable. It isable to easily install by beginners.
◊ The Tubing must be softer than the fittingmaterials.
◊ For non-leak installation, the tubing surfacefinish must be smooth and free from scratches, draw mark, dirt, dust and burr.
◊ Tubing in oval or out-of-roundness may not fitinto fitting.
◊ A weathering test for PA Coating is satisfied thestandard according to ISO 4892. If you want toinstall AL coated tubes as exposed tube outside, contact Locus.
◊ Do Not force the tubing into the fitting ; it maydamage the fitting sealing system on nut, linkand body.
◊ Do Not thread, weld, flare on AL Coated Tube.

Tube Selection and Handling
LOCUS tube fittings perform best for creating agood quality-tubing. Tubing should be considereda fitting component. Here are some points to be considered.
◊ Materials and manufacturing method◊ Material Hardness◊ Surface finish◊ Outside diameter and its tolerance◊ Ovality◊ Concentricity
To avoid damage to the tubing surface, AL Coatedtube and Copper tube must not be crushed or loseits circularity. If necessary, cut the end of tubingwhich is not round shape, and then remove burrand install the Locus tube fitting
Tube Application
The pressure rating of LOCUS tube fitting is ratedto the working pressure of connective tubing.
Material◊ Using material is essential for leak-free sealing
system◊ Eco-Friendly◊ Non Potential difference corrosion
Gas Application◊ Usable a wide range of leak-free application
including gas leak proof and vacuum tightservice.
◊ It’s dangerous to use Chloroform(CHCl3),Transformer Oil, Brake Fluid tube line as the ALCoated tube.
Vacuum Application◊ LOCUS tube fitting have been proved to be
excellent vacuum tight seal in manyapplications including analytical industry.
High Pressure Application◊ Pressure 500 psig (34.5 bar) or higher is
considered generally high pressure. In the highpressure system scratch, draw mark, nick, flatspots, and dirt on tubing may cause leakage.
◊ More than the higher 725 psig (50bar) ofworking pressure is different to the wallthickness of AL Coated tube. If necessaryContact us.

Installation Instructions
Safety Precautions
◊ Do not assemble or tighten fittings whensystem is pressurized.
◊ Do not mix materials or fitting componentsfrom various manufacturer - tubing, ferrules, nuts, and fitting bodies.
Table 7. The Protrusion Length (A)

Tube Preparation
◊ Check if tubing O.D., wall thickness, ovality, hardness and their tolerances are within specsfor your application.
◊ Surface finish is very important to propersealing. Tubing with any kind of depression, scratch, raised portion, or other surface defectwill be difficult to seal, particularly in gasservice.
◊ Tubing that is oval and will not easily fit throughfitting nuts, links, and bodies should never beforced into the fitting.

LOCUS Fitting Precautions
◊ ONLY SINGLE-USE. DO NOT REUSABLE.◊ Do Not disassemble the nut from tube guide prior.◊ Do Not force the tubing into the fitting◊ Do Not move the link where the protrusion
length(A) is automatically fixed when insertingthe tube ; it may damage the sealing system.
◊ Tighten the nut with wrench until there is nogap between the fitting body and nut. (Blue O-ring is invisible) ; If no gap, there arecompletely adhered to and cannot be tightenedwith a wrench anymore.
◊ Tightening Torque Value is according to table 9.
Tube Installation
◊ In case tube bend is too close to a fitting, thebend section shall enter the fitting. This maynot allow the tube to be bottomed in the fitting, resulting in leaks.
◊ Keep the proper straight length of tube asshown in the table.
◊ Do Not bend a tube in the fitting. Use tubebender prior to installation onto fitting.
