Box turtles live in open woodlands, marshy meadows and pastures. They are often found by ponds and streams.
Eastern Box Turtles are terrestrial, which means they live on land. Box turtles are omnivorous that means that they eat meat and
plants. They eat: insects, berries, fungi, slugs, worms, roots, flowers, fish,
frogs, salamanders, snakes, and birds. Lifespan: box turtles can life to over 100 years! The box turtle mating season starts in spring goes through the
summer and ends in October .
