Scoring and Determining the Accreditation LevelsScoring Scoring can only be done after the second visit.
The scoring procedures for the Accreditation toll are simple. At the end of each form or major sections of certain Forms are score rows provided for Must, Desired and Exemplary.
1. To obtain the total score, just count all the checked items under the “Visit 2” column in the form. Fill up “Must =” by counting how many items are present or checked. Tally how many desired or exemplary items are present and fill in the number in their appropriate cells.

2. Transfer the scores from the Accreditation Assessment Report (Appendix 7). Take note that the scores are entered in the correct cells for the appropriate columns.
3. Fill up the Accreditation Assessment Report in triplicate.

Accreditation Level of the Service Provider
The Accreditation recognizes the level of attainment of the service provider who meet the quality standards as attested by the presence of the items in the tool which the service provider is accountable for. They are given a Certificate of Accreditation. These levels are described as: Level 1: Satisfactory - All “must” items for
which the service provider is accountable are present.

Level 2: Very Satisfactory - Approximately 50% to 75% of the “desired” items per focus area for which the service provider is accountable are present in addition to the 179 MUST points for 0-3 year old children and 141 points for 3.1-5.11 year old children.
Level 3: Highly Satisfactory-Approximately 80% or more of the “desired” items per focus area are present in addition to the 179 MUST points for 0-3 year old or 141 points for 3.1-5.11 year old children.

Level 4: Outstanding - Approximately 50% to 75% of the “exemplary” items per focus area in addition to the 191-192 MUST and DESIRED points for 0-3 year old or 153-154 points for 3.1-5.11 year old children.
Level 5: Exemplary - Approximately 80% or more of the “exemplary” items per focus area in addition to the 191-192 MUST and DESIRED points for 0-3 year old or 153-154 points for 3.1-5.11year old children.

Accreditation Level of the Center-based ECCD Program
Accreditation is granted to center-based ECCD programs which meet the quality standards set and as attested by the presence of all items in the Tool. These consists of the items which the service provider is accountable plus the items for which the other ECCD stakeholders are directly accountable. The program is given a Certificate of Accreditation.
