Air source Heat Pump

The way Heat Pump technology works.

An Air Source Heat Pump and the technology

inside it is very similar to that of a domestic fridge,

transferring heat from one area to another, the

back of a domestic fridge emits the unwanted heat

into the room.

In the case of an air source heat pump warmth is

gathered from the outside air and transferred via a

heat exchanger into hot water, which is then

distributed around your central heating system via

radiators, towel rails, under floor heating. In

addition to this, it also supplies the hot water

stored in the cylinder, which feeds the hot water

taps for sinks, basins, baths and showers etc.
