For many years FBA and FBCN have
participated in Samaritan’s Purse Opera-
tion Christmas Child. National Honor So-
ciety members take the lead
for FBA and encourage stu-
dents of all ages to bring in
a shoebox full of gifts for
needy children around the
world! In one month we col-
lected over 2,500 boxes! This is the one
by Adam Reiter
shining light that these impoverished
children will be given this year.
Through this small charitable act the
children will receive God’s love in their
own language. And all it re-
quired was a quick trip to
the dollar store. It’s amazing
how such a little contribution
by our students can have
such an eternal impact!
First Baptist Church of Naples is hosting their 30th per-
formance of The Living Christmas Trees. The spectacular
play, “A Baby Changes Everything” is a wonderful musi-
cal being put on by the FBCN cast who has been practic-
ing since September 2012. This production puts everyone
in the festive mood and gives them the chance to remem-
ber what the season is all about which is our Lord and
Savior, Jesus Christ. In the first weekend, 82 people
made decisions to accept Jesus as Savior! To God be the
glory!
Performances are being held Thursday, December 13th,
Friday, December 14th, and Sunday, December 16th at
7pm as well as 4pm on the 16th.

30th Anniversary of the Living Christmas Trees
New coach, new players, new season. The varsity boys’ soccer team looks to improve after a year ended to St. John Neumann in the District Semifinals. The boys have started their season and have started exceptionally well. The goal is to win districts, no mat-ter what our record is. Expect greatness!
The FBA varsity boys basketball team starts their fifth season with high expectations after the heart-breaking loss to Southwest Florida Christian Academy in the district championship. This will be the deepest team FBA has had; with the additions of sophomore Quan-dell Newton, junior Trey Koonce and sophomore Isaiah Herrera, all playing alongside returning play-ers. This depth is especially im-portant as Coach Stewart believes
in teaching a strong team effort for every game. It is highly probable that they will be considered the favorite to win our first varsity boys basketball district champion-ship.
2 Chronicles 15:7 "But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded." FBA girls’ varsity soc-cer team has been pushing to the limit since the very beginning. During pre-season the girls were meeting two times a day, now they are back to only afternoon practices. The time and commitment from the varsity players definitely paid off during their first game against Canterbury High School. Even though they lost, the team realized what was needed to have a winning season. . The team captains; Giulianna Romero, Rebekah Sperry, Claudya Aleman, and Samantha Elferdink, are always encouraging the players to do their best and play for the glory of the Lord. Steve Mizesko is the coach of the varsity team along with his wife Kelly. Steve says, “I think that our team has unlim-ited potential this year. If they put in enough hard work and play together as a team, then we can have a very successful season.” Listen to your coach girls. Go o u t t h e r e a n d h a v e a g r e a t s e a s o n ! If you could get any
Christmas present, what would it be?
Buzzer to buzzer is the girls motto to prACTice like champions and make this season the best possible. Once again our Varsity girls bas-ketball team is off to a solid start at 8-2. Last season they finished with a 23-6 record and won their third straight district championship. This year they are looking to win their fourth district championship. The team is led by their "awesome senior leadership" and "good chemistry" said, Coach Lines. "Each and every game we seek to im-prove on little things that we know will make our team better such as defense and boxing out and to truly understand what it means to play 4HG." There is good reason for optimism this year as the team has four seniors, 4 juniors, and two sophomores that will give the team the edge they need to take it to the hoop.
