popular in the 1960s to 1970s but
many of the people involved are stillaround to this day. This style of art uses
key characteristics including simplicity, no anecdotal
references or content, has strong
emphasis on shapes and is

of the best know minimalists
include Michael Heizer, Ronald
Bladen, Dan Flavin and Sol LeWitt but there are many
others that have been recognized for their work.
