Turn the handle in aclockwise or anticlockwisedirection to set the torque.Set the torque value to 5-10 % above the desiredvalue.
The set torque is read-able on the scale or onthe scale connected tothe graduated collar*.According to themodel, the scale or graduated collar*shows different pit-ches. A table with therespective divisionscan be found in thesection “DIVISIONS”.
Now set the torquevalue, previously set 5-10%above the desired value, back to the true value.

CONTROLLED TIGHTENING OF SCREW
Pictures 5 – 11
Your torque wrench issuitable for controlledright hand tightening andleft-handed-way.
The tightening direc-tion is indicated by an arrow on themeasuring tool.According to yourmodel, the direction is reversed as follows:
TITAN 100i-300F with interchangeable square.
Take out the square onthe mushroom head, turnthe torque wrench andreplace the square.
TITAN 600F with push-through square.
Push the square throughthe ratchet.
Attach possible acces-sories and/or matchingsocket for your screw connection.
Place your torquewrench together with thesocket onto the threadjoint at a right angle.
Attention!
To avoid damage orslipping always use
the extension thattakes the torquewrench as closely aspossible to the threadjoint.
Operate your torquewrench exclusively by thehandle using 1 or 2 hands,at the same time pulling inthe direction of the arrowuntil it releases (click sig-nal). At this point the settorque will have beenachieved.
The releasing signal isclearly heard and felt.Do not keep on tight-
ening the bolt after
the releasing signal!
After the automaticrelease your torquewrench is immediatelyready for further action.
Attention!
The torque transmis-sion is dependent onthe lever arm. The useof the tool outside thehandle area, or theuse of extension tubesor special additionaltools, has a negativeeffect on the torquevalues. Always apply
the force on the cen-
tre of the handle, do
not use extensions.

TESTING & SERVICING
The manufacturer guar-antees a torque wrenchaccuracy of +/- 4% to thescale value in question at astress cycle of max. 5000.It is therefore necessarythat you test your torquewrench at least every 5000stress cycles on a traceablecalibrated testing device.
For the testing of yourtool we recommendtorque analyzertesting equipment. For information contact Mountz Inc. or simply call our Service-Hotline.
Your torque wrench hasto be calibrated at leastonce a year. Re-adjust-ments should only be carried out either by autho-rised personnel, accreditedcalibration labs or themanufacturer.
For calibration, re-adjustment or repairswe recommend theservice department of Mountz Inc., the in-house calibrationlab.
Before a longer periodof non-utilisation thecompression spring ofyour torque wrench needsto be released. Turn thetorque back to the small-est value on the scale.
Protect your torquewrench from dust, dirt andsand by placing it back inthe box after use and storeit in a dry, clean place.
