PROJECT BRIEF
Croydon Farm is owned and managed by brothers Bruce and Ross Ley, 40 km
East of Geraldton on the Eradu sand plain. The farm’s 8,000 hectare cropping
programme includes a mix of wheat, lupins and canola. In late 2010 a new shed
was required to securely store the modern farm machinery fleet and keep it out
of the weather. A fully enclosed configuration with full width open end door
accessibility formed part of the requested specifications.
WHEATBELT STEEL’S ANSWER
An 840 square metre fully enclosed 40m x 21m x 7m structural web truss shed
incorporating 4 x sliding doors on each end of the shed with 6.1mtr door
clearance height. The design included extended door heads on outriggers to
provide a full 21m wide opening.
