ApplicationsAmerCable’s Type MMV-WP wind powermedium voltage cables are for use as theservice loop (drop) cable on the output sideof the wind turbine generator at temperaturesfrom -40°C to +105°C.
Features� Carries both NEC markings for onshore
applications and marine markings foroffshore applications.
� Two layer, reinforced thermoset jacketresists torsional movement.
� Withstands greater than 10,000 cyclesof twist, 720 degrees in both directions.
� These cables utilize flexible strandedconductors and braided shields which makethem very suitable for applications involvingrepeated flexing and twisting.
� These cables have a small minimum bendingradius (6xOD) for easy installation.
� Optional uninsulated grounding conductorssized per UL 1072.
� The increased flexibility of this cable allowsfor termination of one end and coiling in thenacelle. Then coiling and terminating otherend when nacelle is mated with the tower,thereby reducing installation time.
� Passes IEC 332-3 Category A andIEEE 1202/UL 1581 flame tests.

JacketBlack, arctic grade, flameretardant, oil, abrasion, chemicaland sunlight resistantthermosetting compoundmeeting UL 1309, IEEE 1580,ICEA S-68-516 and UL 1072.Jacket is two layer reinforced onmulti-conductor constructions.Colored jackets for signifyingdifferent voltage levels are alsoavailable on special request(ie. yellow = 5kV and red = 15kV).
Metallic ShieldComposite shieldconsisting of tinnedcopper braid withnylon providing 60%copper coveragemeeting UL 1309,IEEE Std. 1580,ICEA S-68-516 andUL 1072. The nylonis colored for easyphase identification(three conductor =black, blue, red)without the need toremove the shield tofind an underlyingcolored tape.
