The bolt assembly is in its most forward possible position with the bolt carrier still moving forward. The cam pin assembly,
moving in its channel in the carrier, causes the bolt assembly to rotate 30 degrees
counterclockwise; the bolt assembly locking lugs engage the breech assembly locking lugs, giving a safe, solid lock.The firing pin assembly is fully cocked. The BPI arrow is rotating through the RED ZONE PRIOR TO

Unlock
Once the slider has completed its right-to-left movement, it starts moving to the rear, pulling
the bolt carrier with it. As the bolt carrier is pulled to the rear, the cam pin assembly, moving
in its channel, causes the bolt assembly to rotate clockwise and unlock from the breech
assembly. The firing pin assembly is simultaneously withdrawn to the rear. As the bolt assembly unlocks, the BPI points to the
