DESCRIPTION
AND
OBJECTIVES
This
course
deals
with the
fundamentals
of
private
property Iaw
in the
ehilippines,
focused on
the basic
concepts
of property; the
Iaw
on
ownershl-p,
possession,
and
usufruct;
and
certain
modes
of
acguisition
of
propeityl as
l-aid under
the
New Civil
Code.
Special
Iaws
pertaining
to
specific
property
regimes
(e.9., intellectual
property)
or
p.o.-"dt,t."

not included.
By the
end
of this

well-acquainted

most
fundamental

on

SCHEDULE
OF READINGS
The schedule
of topic
assignments
over
the
course

semester

assignment
corresponds

GRADING
REQUIREMENTS
The
final
grade
shall-

components:
recitations/quizzesl
including
attendance

),
mid-term
exam

and the
final
exam

)
.
For recitation, students shall
be called at random
and then
interrogated, about their knowledge
and
comprehension
of the
provisions
and cases
assigned.
Students
should
focus
on
integration
of rules,
exceptj-ons,
quatifications,
and interpretations. Special
attention
is
to
be
given
to
synthesis
and
integration of points of
Iaw.

the
classroom and

presence

professor, students

the
professor.
Anyone
who violates
this

actions shall
