Hey Ewe!
Year 2 performed their Christmas Nativity play on December 5, 2018. Seen through the eyes of a particularly excitable and curious sheep, the traditional Christmas story unfolded with humour and charm.
Of all the sheep in the flock, the smallest, youngest ewe is the most inquisitive. He is always busy getting under the shepherds' feet, asking questions and, to the irritation of the rest of the flock, demanding to know exactly what is going on. One night, however, while all the other sheep are trying to sleep, some extraordinary events unfold that excite his curiosity more than ever before!
With a gospel choir of angels, calypso-ing kings and square-dancing sheep, Hey Ewe! was an upbeat Christmas musical that had everyone tapping their toes and ‘baaing’ away to all the songs. By Miss Reneker “I liked the show when I was playing the instrument for the song ‘How much further to Bethlehem’ because it sounded good.” Max Line “I liked when the Three Kings gave Jesus presents. It was important because it was special.” Alfie Bartlem “I think the most important thing about our play was celebrating Jesus’ birth.” Deaniel Henry-Martinez
Year 1 Christmas Songs
We have been learning lots of songs about the Christmas Story. We did a show for our families and told them all about the birth of Jesus. We had beautiful lights for the performance and the star of Bethlehem shone above us.
We went to Nazareth House to perform our Christmas songs for the residents. They were very happy to see us and when we were finished they gave us a big clap and one of the ladies said, ‘Well done.’ By Armel Cousin and Elodie Evans

Year 6 Advent Service
Year 6 led a beautiful Advent Service at Nazareth House Chapel. The
service started with all of the children processing in with candles
creating a stream of light. Music and singing also added to the spiritual
atmosphere that was created. Alongside the hymns and readings there
was the mounting of the Jesse Tree and the Advent Wreath. The service
was the perfect way to bring joy into the hearts of all that attended at
the start of the Advent season.

Christmas Jumper Fundraiser
Our Christmas Jumper fundraising day raised £363.07 for The Passage. Thank you so much to everyone for their donations. The money we have raised will go to sup-port the homeless in our local community. Andrew Hollingsworth from the charity came to talk to us about the work undertaken by The Passage. He told us about the facili-ties that are available for the home-less to access at the centre in Victoria and also about the other ways that they support people in getting a job and finding a place to live until they are able to support themselves.

Westminster Carol Service
When we went out to Westminster Cathedral to the special Advent
Carol Service we joined lots of other schools. We sang different carols
and hymns and listened to readings that retold the Christmas Story.
During the service people acted out the story of Jesus’ birth and there
was even a donkey (called Pat)
and a sheep (called Larry). We
had a lovely time and it helped
us all reflect on this special
time of year.

A Christmas Prayer
God, Father of all, it gives us great joy to celebrate the wonderful gift of Christmas and all you have done for us.
The birth of Jesus in a humble stable reminds us that Jesus came for all people,
all races, all nations, rich and poor. May we remember the message of the angels
to the shepherds on that first Christmas and give glory to you each day.
Amen
Taken from Plant the Seed; Sharing the Gospel with Children
We created a very special show for our families to come and see. We told them all about the story when baby Jesus was born. We learnt lots of songs and some of us dressed up in costumes. There were angels, shepherds, kings and Mary, Joseph and even a donkey. Our favourite song to sing was ‘The Little Nativity’. Our families told us that we were amazing! Years 4 & 5 Carol Service
Years 4 and Year 5 worked very hard to prepare a Christmas Carol Concert to celebrate the birth of Jesus. On Tuesday 18th December, both years went to Holy Trinity Church to tell the Christmas story and sing a variety of Christmas carols. I enjoyed singing Silent Night because Year 5 sang it by themselves. Different children were chosen to read lines, from scripture, about the wonderful birth of Jesus Christ. Some children in the Orchestra played along to ‘We Three Kings’, while others played hand bells to ‘Bells Ring out on Christmas Day’. The church looked amazing and got us all in the Christmas spirit.
