3. TheshotclockwillbeusedforallProvincialChampionships.4. RingetteAlbertagamesheets,suppliedbyRingetteAlberta,willbeused.Acopyofthegame
sheetwillbedistributedbyarepresentativeatthecontroldeskfollowingthecompletionofthegame.Distributionwillbeasfollows;onecopytothehometeam,onecopytothevisitingteamandonecopytotheRingetteAlbertaofficeuponcompletionoftheProvincialChampionshipTournament.
a. Gamesheetsmustbecompletedandsignedatthecontroldeskbythecoachormanageraminimumoftwenty(20)minutespriortogametime.Teamswillindicatethestartinggoaltender(G),alternategoaltender(s)(AG),affiliateplayers(AP),captains(C)andassistantcaptains(A)onthegamesheet.Adelayofgamepenaltymaybeassessedfornoncompliancewiththisrule.
b. Alluniformnumberswillcoincidewiththegamesheet.Eachplayershallhaveanindividualnumberandthereshallbenoduplicatingofnumbersonanyteam.
5. Whenthereferenceismadetothehometeamitwillbethefirstteamlistedontheschedule.6. Incaseofconflictinuniformcolors,thevisitingteamwillberequiredtochangeuniforms.
ON-ICEPROCEDURES
7. PeriodLength
a. ForallU12andU14divisions,periodswillbeeighteen(18)minutesinlength.b. ForalldivisionsU16andabove,attheA,B,C,andDandMasters,periodswillbe
twenty(20)minutesinlength.c. ForU16andU19AAdivisions,periodswillbetwenty(20)minutesinlength.
8. Therewillbeathree(3)minutewarm-upandaone(1)minutebreakbetweenperiods.9. Teamsmustbereadytogoontheiceten(10)minutesbeforegametime.Teamsnoticed
withintwo(2)minutesofthereferee’swhistlebeingblowntostartthegamewillforfeitthegame.Thegamewillbeplayedasexhibition.
10. Alternategoalkeepersmaybewarmedupbetweenperiodsintheendtheirteamwilldefendforthesecondperiod.Theymayuseoneskaterandtworingsforthepurposesofwarm-up.TherewillbenotimeoutspermittedtowarmupanalternategoaltenderexceptinthecaseofaninjurytothestartinggoaltenderinwhichcasetheOfficialRulesofRingettewillbefollowed.
11. Ifamisconductormatchpenaltyisassessedduringagame,thatpersonwillbeejectedfromthegame.SuspensionsresultingfromthisejectionwillbehandledbytheProtestandGrievanceCommittee.
a. PlayersandTeamStaffmaynotparticipateinanyothertournamentgamesuntiltheirsuspensionhasbeenfullyserved.
12. Ifanyteamaccumulatesmorethan30minutesinpenaltiesinanyonegameduringtheProvincialChampionshipTournament,theheadcoachoractingcoachfromthatgameshallbesuspendedforitsnextgame.
13. GameScorea. Inallcases,themaximumdifference(spread),betweengoalsforandagainstineach
gameisseven(7).Thisisthe'OfficialScore'andisthemostthatwillbedisplayedonthescoreboard.
b. Ifateamdefaultsagame,theteamisdisqualifiedfromcompetitionwiththerightofappealtotheProtestandGrievanceCommittee.Thescore,creditedtotheteamwhichhasbeengiventhewin,willberecordedas7-0.
c. Anytimeaforfeitofagameoccurs,thegamescorewillberecordedasa0-7lossforthepenalizedteam.
TIEBREAKERS
14. Thesestepsshallbefollowedinsequenceuntilthetiedteamshavebeenrankedinorderinthestandings.Onceoneteamhasbeenranked,theprocedurerevertsbackto(1).Thetopteamshallberankedfirst.Ifallteamshavenotplayedanequalnumberofgamesamongstthetiedteams,thetiebreakerwillstartatstepd(thismayapplyforseven(7)andtwelve(12)teamProvincialformats).
a. Thewinnerofmoregame(s)betweentiedteamsduringtheroundrobinwillbedeclaredthehighestposition.
b. Ifstilltied,theteamhavingthegreatestpositivedifferencebetweengoalsforandagainstingamesbetweenthetiedteamsintheroundrobinwillbedeclaredthehighestposition.
c. Ifstilltied,theteamhavingtheleasttotalgoalsagainstingamesbetweenthetiedteamsduringtheroundrobinwillbedeclaredthehighestposition.
d. Ifstilltied,theteamhavingthegreatestpositivedifferencebetweengoalsforandagainstinallgamesduringtheroundrobinwillbedeclaredthehighestposition.
e. Ifstilltied,thetiedteamwiththeleasttotalgoalsagainstinallgamesduringtheroundrobin,includingcrossovergamesinthecaseofa12teamprovincials,willbedeclaredthehighestposition.
f. Ifstilltied,theteamhavingthelowestnumberofpenaltyminutesingamesbetweentiedteamswillbedeclaredthehighestposition.
g. Leastamountofpenaltyminutesinallroundrobingames,includingcrossovergamesinthecaseofa12teamprovincials
h. Ifstilltied,arandomlydrawnteam.
15. Intheeventthatafterroundrobinplayteamsaretiedforapositionwhichentitlesateamtoparticipateinanyofthechampionshipgames(gold,bronzeorsemi-finalgames),thefollowingruleswillapply:
a. Oncetiedteamshavebeenranked,fromhighesttolowest,thenten(10)minuteminigame(s),startingwiththetwo(2)lowestrankedteams,willbeplayedtodeterminetheteam(s)whoadvance(s)toeitherthesemi-finalsormedalgames.
b. Ifthree(3)ormoreteamsaretiedforoneposition,thenthetwolowestrankedteamswillplayinaminigame,thewinnerofthisminigamewillmoveontoplaythenexthighestrankedteam.Thisprocessrepeatswitheachwinnersuccessivelyplayingthehigherrankedteamuntilthereisonewinnerfromtheminigames.Forexample,ifthereare3tiedteams,twomini-gamesareneeded,4tiedteamsrequire3minigamestodeclareawinner.Thewinnerwilladvancetothesemi-finalsormedalgame.
c. Ifthree(3)ormoreteamsaretiedforthetwo(2)positions,thentheteamrankedfirst(1st)shallautomaticallyadvanceandtheminigameprocedurewouldbeappliedtodeterminethesecondposition.Formorethantwo(2)positions,minigameswillbeusedtodeterminethelastavailableslot.
H.TEAMPROTOCOL1. ShakingHands
a. Attheendofeachgame,teamsshouldlineupontheirrespectivebluelinesandthenproceedtoshakehandsatcenterice.Coachesandmanagersmayalsojointheline.
2. ReceivingTrophiesandMedallionsa. OnlyplayersandTeamStaffmemberslistedonthegamesheetwillreceive
medallions,toamaximumof18.Ifextramedalsareneeded,theymaybepurchasedfromtheoffice.
I.PROTESTANDGRIEVANCE1. RingetteAlbertawillappointaProtestandGrievanceCommitteeforeachoftheProvincial
ChampionshipTournaments.ThiscommitteewillconsistoftheRingetteAlbertaTournamentRepresentative(ordesignate)andtheHeadon-iceofficialfortheTournament(ordesignate).
2. Atleastonememberofthecommitteeshallbepresentatthearenaatalltimes.Allmembersshouldbereadilyavailabletomeetanddecideuponanyprotestorgrievancewithinthirty(30)minutesofsubmission.
3. TheCommitteewillhandleanysuspensionsresultingfrommisconductormatchpenaltiesassessedduringProvincialChampionships.
4. TheCommitteewillconsiderallappeals,protestsandgrievancesrelatedtotheProvincialChampionshipTournament.Theywillnotconsideranappealbaseduponareferee’sjudgmentcall.
5. Protestswillonlybeentertainedfromaregisteredteamstaffmember.6. AllprotestsmustbesubmittedinwritingtoanymemberoftheProtestandGrievance
Committeewithinthirty(30)minutesofcompletionofroundrobinandsemi-finalgamesorforty-five(45)minutesofcompletionofmedalroundgameleadingtotheprotest.
7. AllprotestsmustbeaccompaniedbyadepositintheamountasspecifiedinAppendixA-RatesandFeesoftheRingetteAlbertaPolicyManual.Thedepositwillberefundedonlyiftheprotestisupheld.
8. TheProtestandGrievanceCommittee’sdecisionisfinalandnofurtherappealswillbeentertained.

1. TheProvincial‘AA’ChampionshipTournamentwillbeheldforall‘AA’agedivisionsonthesameweekendwheneverpossible.Inaddition,whenpossible,theTournamentshouldbecompletedaminimumoffour(4)weekspriortothecommencementoftheCanadianRingetteChampionships.
ON-ICEOVERTIMEPROCEDURESFOR‘AA’CHAMPIONSHIPTOURNAMENTS
1. Eachgamewillbeplayeduntilawinnerisdeclared.Intheeventthatagameistiedafterregulationtime:
a. Suddenvictoryovertimewillbeplayeduntilthefirstgoalisscored.b. EachovertimeperiodforU14AAwillbeeighteen(18)minutesstoptime.U16AAand
