New for 2020The uncertainty of the pandemic is not going to stop Hospice & Community Care from holding one of Labor Day weekend’s fun-filled events. The Labor Day Auction will be held with a twist – virtually – and over a two week period. Now you can enjoy most of the benefits of the Auction for two weeks from the safety and comfort of home from September 1 to 15.
The energy of the crowd will be missed, but the Virtual Auction will still create a buzz of excitement with great items like hand-made quilts, jewelry, original artwork, vacation getaways, sports memorabilia and more. All items will be up for bid at LaborDayAuction.org. Please note that we will not be holding a Plant Auction or Used Item Auction this year, and the Auction food that so many of you have come to love will now be available during a separate event organized and hosted by the Amish community.
Throughout the pandemic, Hospice & Community Care has continued to care for more than 600 patients and their families daily, and the organization’s need for financial support also continues. Proceeds from the Virtual Auction will help to provide services and support for patients and families who are coping with serious illness, facing end of life or loss.
If you’re looking for ways to support Hospice now, there are two ways to have an immediate impact. Consider joining the Labor Day Auction Club with a gift of $100. While there may not be scratch-made local delicacies as part of this year’s membership, a gift to Hospice & Community Care will feed your soul! You can also donate a day of hospice care to someone in need. Each day spent with loved ones is a precious gift to our patients and families and
a gift of $187 will provide another day when they need it most. To support Hospice & Community Care, visit LaborDayAuction.org.
Please visit LaborDayAuction.org for frequent updates and information about the Auction. You may also visit the site to subscribe to auction-related emails, text messages and web notifications to keep up-to-date.
Thank you for your support!

HOW-TO BID
Visit LaborDayAuction.org and click on the Main Auction, Sports Auction or Raffle to get started.
A small box will pop up where you can enter
your bid amount. The Auction uses a proxy bidding system that will take your maximum bid and bid on your behalf as the bids increase. When your maximum bid amount is exceeded, you can receive a message notifying you that you have been outbid and giving you the option to put in another, higher bid.
When you find an item you want to
bid on, click the red MAKE A BID button for that item.
Then you will be asked to provide your
name, address and cell phone number.
Once your information is provided, you will
be asked to create a user name and password for your profile and if you would like to receive a text message when you are outbid. This is highly recommended or else you could miss out on increasing your bid.
Lastly, enter your credit card information and click the red SUBMIT BID button. Your card will not be charged unless you are the winning bidder (all
charges made on September 15).
To browse Auction items in various categories (Luxury, Quilts, Artwork, Experiences, Outdoor, Gift Baskets and more), click the red BID button. Then
choose the category you want to view.
At this point, you will be asked to provide for your email address to begin this portion of the bidding process.
