UT136 UT133
Flexible buttons/Flexible Button LampsUsed to make or receive calls, or perform the feature that has been assigned to the button.The flexible button lamp shows the status of each flexible button.
*For KX‐UT133/136 only
Note: At least 2 DN buttons must be assigned to each line. If DN buttons are not assigned, calls cannot be made or answered.

Type of Flexible buttonsYou can customize the flexible buttons on the unit.These settings can be programmed either through the Web user interface or by configuration file programming.The following types of flexible buttons are available.

Flexible button Settings by the Web user interfaceTo set Flexible Buttons1. In the Web user interface [Telephone] -> [Flexible Button Settings]2. Enter settings as described in the following table.
When it is necessary to set both parameter 1 and parameter 2, enter a commabetween the values.

Going Off-hook -> Making call1. Left the handset off its cradle.2. Press [SP-PHONE] while the handset is on its cradle.
This enables hands-free mode.3. Press a DN button (flexible button).
Making call from the Phonebook List1. Press2. Press or to select an entry.3. Press a DN button (flexible button).

How to Use(4) - DN button
Dialing the Last Number You Dialed (Redial, Last Number)1. Press the appropriate DN button (Flexible button) before you press [REDIAL] .2. Press [REDIAL].
Receiving a Second Call (Answering Call Waiting)During a conversation, if a second call arrives, you will hear a call waiting tone.1. Press [HOLD] while hearing the call waiting tone.2. Press the green flashing DN button (Flexible button).NoteIf Automatic Call Hold is enabled on your unit, you do not need to press [HOLD] in step 1.The call is automatically put on hold when you press the DN button.

Holding a Call1. Press [HOLD] .If Automatic Call Hold is enabled on your unit, the call will also be put on hold if you press a DN button (flexible button) other than the one for the current call.

How to Use(5) - DN button
Talking to Two Parties Alternately (Call Splitting)When you are talking to one party and have another party on hold,
you can switch the call on hold and the current call.1. Press [HOLD] during a conversation.2. Call the second party.3. Press [HOLD] , and then press the green flashing DN button (Flexible button)
that corresponds to the other party on hold.NoteIf Automatic Call Hold is enabled on your unit, you do not need to press [HOLD] in step 3.The call is automatically put on hold when you press the DN button.

How to Use(6) - DN button
Removing a Party from the ConferenceDuring a conference, you can remove other parties from the conference.
However, this operation is available.1. During a conference call, press [HOLD].
The other parties are put on hold.2. Press the DN button (Flexible button) that corresponds to the party
you want to disconnect.A conversation is established with party you want to disconnect.
3. Go on-hook.The party is disconnected.
4.Press the DN button (Flexible button) that corresponds to the remaining party.You can continue the conversation with the remaining party.

How to Use (8) – One-touch, BLF*For KX‐UT133/136 only
One-touch Dialing1. Go off-hook, and then press the One-touch Dialing button (flexible button)
To Transfer with One-touch (one-touch Transfer)1. Press BLF button (flexible button) during a conversation.2. Wait until the other party answers to announce the transfer.3. Press .- If On-hook Transfer is enabled on your unit, you can simply go in-hook in step 3instead of pressing .
- If unscreened transfers are supported on your phone system, step 2 can be omitted.

Logging in to or Logging out of an ACD (Automatic Call Distribution) GroupIn the SIP server supports ACD and you assigned to an ACD group, you can log in or log out of the group.1. In stand-by node, press the flexible button assigned as the ACD Log-in/Log out
button.
