LADYKNIGHTSVARSITYSOCCEROFFTOHOTSTARTANDNOW6-0ONSEASONTheLadyKnightshavestartedofftheseasonstrongwithwinsoverTempePrep,AretePrep,KingmanHighSchool,ASUPrep,ChandlerPrep,andParadiseHonors.TheLadyKnightshavegivenuponly1goalontheseason.Thereoffenseisonfireandtheredefenseisprovingtobeafortressinfrontofthegoalkeeper.TheLadyKnightswillplayintheChandlerPreptournamentthiscomingweekendwheretheywillhavetheopportunitytocompetewithsomeofthebestschoolsinthedivision.

VARSITYBOYSSOCCERDEFEATSARETE3-1Thursday,December1wasthefirstroadtestfortheTriviumPrepboys’varsitysquadfacingatoughAreteopponent.Triviumgotontheboardfirstonahardblastfromthe18byfreshmanBrandonLucciK.JuniorPierceWilliamsonaddedanothergoalinthefirsthalfoffa25yardshotthatfounditswayoverthekeeper’shead.Aretescoredtheironlygoalinthesecondhalf,butthiswasquicklyfollowedbyaTriviumgoalbyFreshmanJonathanRenouardwhodrilledahardshotpasttheAretekeeper.TriviumkeeperRJListonhadasolidperformancewith3saveson4shotsongoal.Triviumenjoyed12shotsongoalon14aUempts.ThiswasasolidandconvincingwinfortheyoungTriviumKnightsteamaVeragreatopeninghomegameagainstTempePrepwheretheKnightsfelljustshortbyascoreof3-1.

VARSITYBOYSBASKETBALLDEFEATSGILBERTLEADINGEDGE63-50AnearlyseasonmatchupoftwoofArizonaCentralstoptenteamswenttotheCrimsonKnightsonTuesdaynight.TheKnightswereledbyTommyRobertswith20pointsandGerrardoVillescaswith15pointsandDaxtonWirthalsochippedin15points.DonovanSimmonsandLorenzoDeGuzmanledtheteamwith8assisteach.TheKnightsplayedtoughteamdefenseforcing7stealsand7blockedshots.Thescorewas24-17atthehalf.TheKnightsturnedonthedefenseinthethirdquartertakinga20pointlead.TheKnightsfinishedstrongdefea^ngGilbertLeadingEdge63-50.

MIDDLESCHOOLBOYSSOCCERFALLSTOCHANDLERPREPTheKnightsplayedtheirsecondgameoftheseasonagainsttheChandlerPrepTitansonDecember9,2016.AVerbeingseveralpointsdown,DannyRosztoczymadeabeau^fulgoalinthefirsthalf.TheKnightsdidawonderfuljobrunningintospaceandsuppor^ngtheirteammates.TheteamalsohadseveralstrongdrivestowardstheTitansgoal.Theteamstruggledimplemen^ngdefensivestrategiesinthemidfieldandourdefensivethirdofthefield.IamveryproudofhowtheKnightsperseveredthroughthechallengestheyfacedthisgameandcon^nuedtoplaywithgreatheart.Thisweekwewillfocusondevelopingastrongersenseofdefensiveposi^oningalongwiththeconceptofdelaydefenseinprepara^onforourgameagainstGlendalePreponDecember16,2016.
