It is with the expectation of the beginning of many things that I announce my retirement as Minister of Education/Administration at the end of February, 2015. Lottie Moon Christmas Offering
FOR INTERNATIONAL MISSIONS
IMB’s vision is “a multitude from every language, tribe and nation knowing and worshipping our Lord Jesus Christ.” For that to happen, we must pray diligently for the thousands of unreached people groups—billions of individuals—who don’t know their savior. We can pray for missionaries in the field to be urgent about spreading the gospel. We can pray that more people will give to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering and continue support of Southern Baptist missionaries.
Pray about giving to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. Be generous.
Your giving has a place in God’s story!
Church Goal: $23,170.00
Given Y-T-D: $21,966.54
Orphan Sunday
January 11
Herbie Newell will be our guest speaker in the morning service.
Baby Needs New Shoes!
Well, they can be new or gently used. We need at least 153 pairs of children’s shoes of every size, color and kind for our Orphan Sunday project. Please bring shoes for boys and girls of all ages on January 11. Clean out your closets or pick up some new low-priced shoes at a New Year’s sale. Thank you for being a part of this wonderful ministry.
Learn to do what is good. Seek justice.
Correct the oppressor. Defend the rights of
the fatherless. Plead the widow’s cause. Isaiah 1:17 (HCSB)
RAs and GAs Our children learn about missions on Wednesday nights at 6:20. They have wonderful leaders who look for ways to involve the children in outreach projects. This month our children went to a nearby community to sing Christmas carols and pass out candy canes and hot cocoa. Our GAs put up a Christmas Card Corner and collected $101.55 to give to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. Good job, boys and girls! Thank you for your dedication, teachers!
Sons of Thunder All men of NBC are encouraged to join the Sons of Thunder. They meet every Wednesday night at 5:45 in rooms 204-205. There are various ongoing ministries where you can be used by God to touch lives in our church and community. See how you fit in with this program.

I would like to thank my Northport Baptist family for the many prayers, cards and expressions of kindness for my brother, Kenneth Carter during his short illness and death. As difficult as this has been, we have comfort knowing he is healed and resting at the throne of our Savior. In Christ love, Deborah Beck & family
