The top picture shows a side view of a woman's internal organs. These include the bladder, uterus, ovaries, vagina, and rectum. The cervix is located inside the vagina, and is the opening to the uterus. The bottom picture shows a woman's external anatomy. The vulva consists of the labia, which are the lips surrounding the vaginal opening. The large lips are the labia majora, and the smaller lips are known as the labia minora. The clitoris, the urethral opening (where urine comes out) and the anus are also seen.

The ovaries
Two ovaries, the female gonads, produce mature eggs. Leading away from the ovaries are the fallopian tubes, or oviducts, the site of fertilization. The uterus, a muscular organ with an expandable neck called the cervix, houses the developing fetus, which leaves the woman's body through the vagina, or birth canal.
