A message of felicitation on the occasion of Job Fair
Dear Sir/Madam, As Trustee of Santiniketan Institute of Polytechnic, it is my pleasure to convey my felicitation to the persons in authority at N.S Polytechnic College who have toiled to take initiative to arrange a career expo for three days on 2nd May2015 to 4th May2015 at your college campus. As we are aware, a Job Fair is an exposition for employers, recruiters and colleges to meet with prospective Job Seekers. In this event, employers furnish requisite information for potential employees. Job Seekers attend these while trying to make a good impression to potential co-workers by speaking face-to-face with one another’s. In colleges, Job Fairs are commonly used for entry–level job recruitment. I am glad to inform you that my college has striven persistently to take opportunity for job expos and we actually held two Job Fairs in the year 2014. Needless to say, it proved the all-round success in every possible way. Every penny spent on those occasions and tireless efforts have been recycled into the noble mission of the prestigious placement of the students of our college in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics & Telecommunication, Computer Science & Technology and different ITI trades. I am sure N.S Polytechnic College has come a long way since it was founded. On behalf of “Santiniketan Institute of Polytechnic”, I take this opportunity to convey my warmest congratulations on the holy occasion of your celebrating this special event. I wish you all the best in the years ahead.Thanking you.
Yours Sincerely,Abdus Samad, Trustee Santiniketan Institute of Polytechnic

Skill Development Sources GǾB Ĭ MŒR MPÒ Chattopadhyay
-Headmistress.
Bharati Balika Bidyalaya ( H.S ) Borehat , Burdwan.
Every child is born free with numerous hidden talent and skills. He or she is endowed with
such gift by nature itself. But the tragedy is that like the flowers that Crush down before blooming
their skills remain latent and ultimately lost for even. But the fundamental question is where lies the
source that can enable the exposure and development of such skills and talent. It is the duly of the
guardians including the teachers to find out the main sources. We should follow a counting like
china who has capable himself in finding the sources of skills and talent and thus motivating then in
that particular field in which they are capable of expediting their skills in every field, may be
education, may be games and may be other cultural activities.
An Underdeveloped country like us is lagging far behind in this aspect. There are different
sources behind this. The first and foremost cause is population, explosion followed by poverty and
underdeveloped education. So it is not only a concern for rural areas but also for urban areas too.
So, my question is how and where we can find the sources of such concern. One solution to
this problem can be school development but there are other sides also. We need to exploit the hidden
talent that are scattered throughout the society, throughout the country. We often find in news
papers, that a boy inventing the method of running a cycle with gas. Like this innumerable talent
remain unexposed, our duty is to locate those talents and breed them up to become the future of the
nation.
This is not an Impossible task if all sections of the society come forward for this cause with a
specific project which we help us to find out those hidden geniuses and bring them to the fore front
and guiding them in the right path so that they can become the back bone of the nation. The foremost
proof of this is our former president Abdul Kalam who in spite of all difficulties has proved himself
to be one of the greatest scientists that India has ever produced.
“Preparation for Interview” – an overview -Safiul Alam Mondal
Aspirants having no earlier interview experience feel anxiety or get nervous to face interview. They may be
encouraged to be informed that the interviewers may not be from HRD professionals or they may not be competent to
know how to hold interviews effectively or may not have well preparation, then the fresher’s can take the control of
the interview by creating a good impression.
But they must have good conception about “frequently asked questions” and their model answers.
Before facing interview, a job seeker must research the company. Its corporate website is an excellent source
of information about office locations, products & services, customers, competitors, past performance record .recent
news about expansion, merges, performance and share price movements etc. He/ She may also gather basic
information & like interviewers name, correct pronunciation, his/her position etc.
Other Information sources are :
The economic Times , The Financial Times , Business India , The Business week , Business Today , Dalal Street Journal etc.
He/ She may be asked:
“What do you know about our company? “ “Why do you want to work for us?”
He /She must be well rehearsed for less than a two minutes commercial to present own profile to prove his /
her capability of performing rather than merely describing by providing concrete examples illustrating success
achieved so far.
First of all, students must carry a 9’’X 12’’ portfolio/folder with him/her containing at least two copies of
resume, letter of recommendations, testimonials etc. A well matched resume and port folio can make a winning combination resume should be within a limitation of one or two pages presenting key points in the top of half of the
1st page. It is better not to use I and to use short sentences.
The Sections of a resume may be :
Identifying Information. , The Objective. , Summary of Qualification. , Education. , Work Experience, Activities / Interests.
Identifying Information will consist of name, address, Phone no .. email address etc. The objective is a
general statement of one’s, career goals must not be included with empty, fluffy objective, useful information about
