1 st AMDI FRCR Part 2 Clinical Oncology Preparatory Course 25 th – 26 th August 2016 The course consists of small group tutorials, skin cancer stations, practice clinical and viva stations followed by Mock FRCR Examination which will consist of 5 Clinical Stations and 8 Viva Stations. Examiners will be Oncologists and most of the examiners have experience with the FRCR exams. The exam has been organised to help trainees prepare for the real feel of the actual FRCR 2B examinations. Questions will be prepared by examiners who have been involved in FRCR mock examinations. The place is limited to only maximum 8 candidates and will be on first come first served basis. Candidates are expected to do their own readings prior to the course in order to gain maximum benefit from the course. Venue : Clinical Trials Complex (CTC), Advanced Medical and Dental Institute, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Bertam, Penang Course Fee : RM1600.00 inclusive of meals. What would candidates expect to gain from the course? · Small group focused teaching · Bedside practice and teachings on patients as per the Clinical FRCR Part 2B examination · Mock examination similar to the pace and format of the actual FRCR 2B Exam · Teaching on skin cancer · Examiners will mark the candidates on their performance by the exam grades : Clear Pass, Bare Pass, Bare Fail or Clear Fail. This would help as an indicator to the candidate how much more work needs to be done in order to achieve the exam standards.
