Brief Profile of Partha Kundu
Partha has worked in the industry for more than 27 years across multiple domains in Technology and
Process Management. He has travelled widely across the globe and interacted with International and
Domestic clients.
In K C Cottrell India, Partha manages the Sales & Marketing portfolio of Air Pollution Control, Energy
and Environment Management Products and Services for the Power Plants, Steel Plants, Cement Plants
and other Industrial segments. The specific areas of coverage are Flue Gas Cleaning Systems for
Particulates ( ESPs/ Bag Filters) and Gases ( De SOx/ De NOx), Ash Handling Systems, Waste to Energy
solutions.
He has worked with Organisations both in the Public and the Corporate Sectors and brings in deep
understanding of these sectors through his involvement in Consulting/ Advisory assignments with the
PSU/ Govt. stakeholders in India and other territories .
Partha is regularly associated with Thought Leadership events/ seminars of the leading Chambers/
Industry associations and have spearheaded a number of joint publications in multiple domains
CHO Hyun
Mr. Cho, Korean Ambassador to India, was born in Iksan, Korea in 1957. He graduated from Yonsei
University in 1980 and later earned an MA from Columbia University and a PhD in International
Affairs from Toulouse University.
After joining the Foreign Ministry in 1979, he spent most of his early years working on trade issues.
He was also posted to the Korean Embassies in Belgium, the Central African Republic, Senegal and

the United States. His experience in trade issues led him to be seconded to the Secretariat of the
OECD (1999–2002) and the Presidential Office in Seoul (2003–2004). As Director-General for
International Economic Affairs, he overhauled Korea’s ODA policies and worked for Minister Ban Ki-
Moon’s campaign for Secretary-General of the UN. Serving as Deputy Ambassador to the UN, he
dealt with many issues, including climate change and UN Security Council reform. In 2008 he was
appointed Ambassador for Energy and Resources and given responsibility for Korea’s energy
diplomacy. In this capacity, he also led the Korean negotiating team for the renewal of the Korea-US
Civil Nuclear Cooperation Agreement. He later became Deputy Minister for Multilateral Affairs, still
working on many nuclear issues, including the Nuclear Security Summit. While representing Korea to
Austria and the international organizations in Vienna, such as the IAEA and UNIDO, as Ambassador
from 2011 to 2014, he also served as President of the Governing Board of the UNIDO and Chair of
the Hague Code of Conduct against Ballistic Missile Proliferation.
Ambassador Cho is married with one son.
