Download

Open your browser (Internet Explorer preferred) and go to the Data Trace Download site.

Scroll to the bottom of the page

Click the link below “DTS 2.0 Production Terminal Server”.4


Click “Save” and save the install executable to your hard drive.

Click “Open folder”6

NOTE! You must be logged into the server as the local admin or with an account that has administrative rights to properly install Data Trace.

Install

Right click

If you receive this message just click “Yes”.

Click Next

Enter your information and click “Next”

It’s recommended to use the default install path or go ahead and change it and then click ‘Next’.

Click Install

Here you see installation status

Click Finish

Set the time and day when you think no users will be logged onto Data Trace for the Update Service to update the program.

Register

Double click the Data Trace icon for the first time

Enter your registration information including Branch ID and Registration password, then click Submit.

Login

Enter your Branch ID, Branch Password, User ID & User Password then click Submit.

You can now start using Data Trace

Set Auto Login

In Windows 7, click on the Start/Windows button and type notepad in the search bar then right click on Notepad and choose “Run as administrator”

In Windows 8, move your cursor all the way to the top right of your screen and move it just off the screen to bring out the search bar.

Type Notepad in the search bar, right click on Notepad and at the bottom of the screen choose the “Run as administrator” icon.

In Notepad click on File and open, then navigate to the Data Trace program folder at:20


C:\Program Files (x86)\Data Trace\DTS2 at the bottom right of the file open dialog choose All Files and you should then see all of the files in the directory. Choose the Atlas.exe.config file and click Open

Look for the line that reads <add key="AutoLogon" value="No"></add> and change the value from No to Yes. Click on File Save or just close the window and choose save. The next time you login you won’t have to enter your login information.
