ISMA is the Internet Streaming Media Alliance founded by Apple, Cisco, Kasenna, IBM, Philips, and Sun Microsystems to accelerate the market adoption of open standards for streaming rich media over Internet Protocols.
ISMA’s Charter:
Promote a standard for delivering streaming MPEG-4 over IP through an industry-wide, non-profit alliance.
Build upon ratified MPEG-4 video & audio specifications over IETF defined unicast and multicast protocols.
Accelerate demand for MPEG-4 over IP products and services through the sponsored marketing and user education programs.
