A3839066 Boots is a loving four year old tan spayed female Shepherd mix who was deserted at the Downey Animal Care Center on June 26 by her former owners who moved and made no provisions for their dog. Weighing forty-four pounds, Boots walks well on leash and is very cooperative. Super sociable, she adores both people and other dogs, and would probably make a good addition to a multi-dog household. Boots is a playful gal who loves giving kisses, and will make the perfect indoor pet for an active individual or family in any living situation. Weighing fourteen pounds, this gentle girl walks well on leash and knows how to sit on command. With her sweet temperament, she gets along well with other dogs and is good with children. Anastasia is a very attentive and lovely “all-around” dog, and will make a marvelous indoor pet for anyone in any living situation and we think she would be a perfect companion for a senior citizen. A4416162 Mocha is a precious three year old brown and white spayed female Pit Bull who was found in Downey on April 11th and brought to the Downey Animal Care Center. Weighing sixty pounds, she is very energetic but settles down to walk okay on leash. She has passed her shelter given temperament test with flying colors and gets along with well-behaved dogs when properly introduced. Mocha would probably do well with older children, and will make a fabulous indoor pet for an active individual or family living in a private home. A4431686 Delilah is a dynamic one and one half year old white and brown female Pit Bull puppy who was discarded at the Downey Animal Care Center on May 19th because her former owner claimed he had such a busy social life he couldn’t possibly take care of his dog. Weighing forty-four pounds, this medium-energy gal walks well on leash, is quickly learning commands, and may be housetrained. Well socialized, she passed her shelter given temperament test with flying colors, gets along well with other dogs and will do fine with older children. A4447905 Deb is a precious six month old black and white female Terrier puppy who was discarded at the Downey Animal Care Center on June 16th along with her sister “Diana” (A4447906) and her brother “Dave” (A4447907) because her irresponsible backyard breeders claimed it cost too much to take care of their dogs. Weighing ten pounds, she has not had leash training, but loves to be held and cuddled. She gets along fine with dogs her own size, and is very affectionate with people once she gets to know them. A4430951 Princess is a gorgeous one year old tricolor female Terrier puppy who was forsaken by her former owners at the Downey Animal Care Center on May 18th because they claimed it required too much responsibility to have a dog. Weighing thirteen pounds, Princess walks very well on leash but doesn’t seem to have had any formal training beyond that. This mellow gal gets along with other dogs and is great with people. We believe she would be the perfect companion for cuddling in front of the television. Princess will make the ideal indoor pet for anyone in any living situation.
