(May 16, 2014) – Douglas’ latest TriVex merges two machines into one compact automation solution to vertically pack flexible bags from independent vertical form fill seal (VFFS) machines. Within this TriVex, dual infeeds advance bags through separate quality inspection, rejection, and vertical orientation and collation systems. An integrated erector sets up and delivers cases to parallel load stations. The flexible bags are vertically packed into both cases, which are then sealed for package completion. This innovative TriVex solution adds to Douglas' top load case packing capabilities for bags, which includes; vertical and flat pack bag orientations, pick and place loading, vision guided robotic systems, and retail-ready display case packing for pillow and flat bottom bags, and pouches.
