Working with Royal Docks and Shale Brewing we helped keep the crowd cool with a variety of beers. My thanks to board members Angel Agnes, TJ Murphy (shown) and Mark Rose for their help on that busy day...and to St. Pauls, the City and the North Canton Public Library for hosting the event. August 18 and 19 are the dates when the square area and beyond will come alive with music, crafters, food, community groups, car shows and more sharing a weekend of summer fun just before schools return for a new year. We're especially happy to be presenting our local talent on the City Hall stage, including Hoover and Belmont grad Karissa Ella. Check out the flyer in this month's mailing for a schedule of events and a list of our partners and sponsors. If passed, funds will be di- rected to school resource officers, additional mental health resources and necessary safety equipment. With our students traveling between districts on a daily basis, it is important that they are secure in their permanent and temporary environments. Beyond physical safety are mental health issues. A major increase in teen suicides and treated suicidal thoughts in Stark County demands schools address the issue, and the resulting funding will help them achieve that goal.
