    Pillow measures 14 x 14.

    RED HEART Super Saver: 1 skein each 4313 Aran

    Fleck A, 334 BuffB, 360 Caf C, and 656 Real Teal D.

    Crochet Hooks: 3.75mm [US F-5] and 4mm [US G-6].

    Yarn needle, 14 x 14 pillow form.

    GAUGE: Small square = 7 across. CHECK YOUR

    GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge.

    NOTE: Leave a 6 tail when starting or ending a color. Use

    these to sew squares together.

    PILLOWSide 1-Small Square (Make 4)

    Increase Rows

    Row 1 (Right Side): With larger hook and A ch 6; dc in

    4th ch from hook and in next 2 ch; turn 1 segment.

    Row 2: Ch 6, dc in 4th ch from hook and in next 2 ch,

    (slip st, ch 3, 3 dc) all in ch-3 space of Row 1; turn 2

    segments.

    Row 3: Ch 6, dc in 4th ch from hook and in next 2 ch, [(s

    st, ch 3, 3 dc) all in ch-3 space of last row] twice; turn 3

    segments. Fasten off.

    Row 4: Attach colorB in top of last dc made; ch 6, dc

    in 4th ch from hook and in next 2 ch, * (slip st, ch 3, 3

    dc) all in next ch-3 space; repeat from * across; turn 4

    segments.

    Rows 5 and 6: Ch 6, dc in 4th ch from hook and in next

    ch, * (slip st, ch 3, 3 dc) all in next ch-3 space; repeat fro

    * across; turn 6 segments at end of Row 6. Fasten off.

    Rows 7, 8 and 9: Repeat Rows 4-7 with C, increasing o

    segment each row 9 segments at end of Row 9. Fasten

    off.

    Decrease Rows

    Row 10: Attach D in ch-space of last segment made; (ch

    3, 3 dc) in same ch-3 space, [(slip st, ch 3, 3 dc) all in ne

    ch-3 space] 7 times, slip st in next ch-3 space; turn 8

    segments.

    Row 11: Slip st across rst 3 dc, * (slip st, ch 3, 3 dc) all

    next ch-3 space; repeat from * to last ch-3 space; slip st

    last ch-3 space; turn 7 segments.

    Rows 12-17: Repeat Row 11, decreasing one segmenteach row 1 segment at end of Row 17. Fasten off.

    Side 2-Small Square (Make 4)

    Work Rows 1-17 same as Side 1 in the following color

    sequence: Rows 1-3: C; Rows 4-6: B; Rows 7-9: A; Row

    10-17: D.

    ASSEMBLY

    Lay Side 1 squares down, right sides up, to form a larger

    square with D at the outer four corners; sew together.

    Weave in ends.

    Lay Side 2 squares down, right sides up, to form a larger

    square with D at the outer four corners; sew together.

    Weave in ends.

    ABBREVIATIONS: A, B, etc. = color A, B, etc.; ch = cha

    dc = double crochet; mm = millimeters; rnd = round;

    sc = single crochet; st(s) = stitch(es); * = repeat whateve

    follows the * as indicated; [ ] = work directions in bracket

    the number of times specied.

    Edging

    Rnd 1: Hold the 2 large squares with wrong sides

    together; with smaller hook attach D at a corner; working

    through both layers, ch 1, work sc evenly around 3 sides,

    working 3 sc in each corner, insert pillow form, complete

    working across last side; join with a slip st in rst sc.

    Rnd 2: Ch 1, working from left to right, work Reverse sc in

    each sc around; join. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
