- 1. Double Page Spread
The Making Of
2. Step One Main Photo
I started off with a picture of Mike Frost, with his face covering
about half of the page
3. Step Two Heading
I added a title with a large quotation which also acted as a
heading
4. Step Three - Timeline
I created a layout for my timeline using blue boxes, where I could
fit information and start to create the fabricated story of Mikes
career.
5. Step Four The Life Story
I came up with the story. It is the sort of exciting and lucrative
life that a musician could lead. It was important to me that it was
the style of writing that would be found in a music article.
6. Step Five Album Covers
Then I added two photos which I turned into album covers and added
another quotation, the sort of funny and clever thing that someone
under the influence would say, as this was the kind of character
that I had created for Mike
7. Step Six Song Descriptions
Then I added some of the information about the individual songs
that I put onto his album.
8. Step Seven Filling In The Gaps
Then I filled in some of the spaces with another quotation and then
put a bullet holes effect onto the page to try to keep the page
active and as though there were constantly things happening.
Although something wasnt right the colouration was poor so I
decided I had two choices, first, change my colour scheme, or try
decreasing the visibility of the background picture of Mike.
9. Step Eight Darkening
As you can see it worked very well and makes the text much more
readable.
