IoD Dorset Introduction to Angel Investment Monday 9 th September 2013 4pm for 4.30pm until 9pm Bournemouth University Executive Business Centre, 89 Holdenhurst Road, Bournemouth, BH8 8EB The Institute of Directors in Dorset is delighted to be working in association with Silicon Beach Business Angels to deliver a one hour introductory seminar on the advantages of Angel Investing and then immediately following, access to the highly engaging “Pit ch Event”. At 5.30pm there will further opportunity for refreshment and networking, before the start of the Silicon Beach Pitch Event at 6pm. This is where IoD members and their guests, and the Silicon Beach audience will watch five carefully chosen businesses pitching their brilliant ideas. There will be two break-out sessions to create the opportunity to talk directly with two entrepreneurs of your choice. The event will finish with a networking session to allow further discussion among entrepreneurs, investors and delegates over wine and canapés. Details of the five businesses selected to make presentations will be announced towards the end of August. In the meantime, examples of the previous pitches can be found on the website.
