Doris Pauline McGhee (HoneyBee) was born September 22, 1956 in Mobridge, SD. Her parents: Walter Melvin and Nora Mae (Rough Surface) Tiger. Doris grew up in Kenel, SD until she was a young adolescent and then her family moved to Mobridge, SD. Doris attended Pierre Board- ing School, later attending high school in Fort Yates, ND. Soon after high school Doris had become a mother to three daughters and one son. Doris worked at the Pierre Indian Learning Center for many years in Pierre, SD. Doris became diagnosed with diabetes and decided then to change her profession and go into the health care field. Doris then moved to Mandan, ND where she received more education and began working in the nursing field for the next 26 years caring for the elderly/disabled individuals in the Bismarck/Mandan area. During this time Doris met her dear friend Brian Pfeifle and together they would travel and attend the PBR in Las Vegas which became their annual trip for several years until Brian had succumbed to his deteriorating health. Soon after Doris had become ill which resulted in her having to re- ceive dialysis. Throughout her illness, she remained strong and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. One of her greatest joys was to see her great grandson Aiden Thomas, to whom she gave the nickname Blue”. She will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. The Twenty-Third Psalm

The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:

He leadeth me beside the still waters: He restoreth my soul; He leadeth me in the

paths of righteousness for his name's sake… Yea, though I walk through the valley of the

shadow of death, I will fear no evil: For Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff

they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies;

Thou annointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over...Surely goodness and mercy

shall follow me all the days of my life: And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever...

God Saw You Getting Tired God saw you getting tired, When a cure was not to be.

So He wrapped his arms around you, and whispered, "come to me."

You didn't deserve what you went through, So He gave you rest.

God's garden must be beautiful, He only takes the best

And when I saw you sleeping, So peaceful and free from pain

I could not wish you back To suffer that again.
