George Galdorisi

Captain George Galdorisi, USN, Ret, was a career naval aviator. He began his writing career in 1978 with an article in U.S. Naval Institute Proceedings. His Navy career included four command tours and five years as a carrier strike group chief of staff. He has written eight books, including (with Dick Couch), the New York Times best seller, Tom Clancy Presents: Act of Valor, the novelization of the Bandito Brothers/Relativity Media film; the U.S. Naval Institute Press book, The Kissing Sailor, which proved the identity of the two principals in Alfred Eisenstaedt’s famous photograph; and over 200 articles in professional journals and other media. He is the Director of the Corporate Strategy Group at the Navy’s C4ISR Center of Excellence in San Diego, California. His latest project (with Dick Couch) is a reboot of the best-selling and long-running (1995-2005) Tom Clancy’s Op-Center Series.

Marni Freedman

Marni Freedman is a produced, published and award winning writer. After graduating as an award winning student from the USC School of Filmic Writing, Marni began her career with her play, Two Goldsteins on Acid, which was produced in Los Angeles. She worked as a script doctor for Fox Searchlight, Disney, and other film companies and worked as a script agent for the Mary Sue Seymour Agency. One of her plays was made into a film, Playing Mona Lisa, and was produced by Disney. She has published articles in several magazines and online sites, worked as a ghost writer for a “how to” book series and is currently in demand as a book editor and script doctor. Currently, around San Diego, you can find Marni teaching writing work-shops at San Diego Writers Ink, UCSD Extension and running the popular San Diego Screenwriter’s group, The Writer’s Circle.

Carlos de los Rios

Carlos de los Rios is a working filmmaker who has written/produced seven acclaimed films for Academy Award-winners Lauren Bacall and Harvey Fierstein, Academy Award-nominee Elliot Gould, Emmy Award-winner Johnny Galecki, Golden Globe-nominee Hayden Panettiere as well as movie stars such as Scott East-wood (Texas Chainsaw 3-D) and Josh Hutcherson (Peeta from the blockbuster hit, The Hunger Games). Carlos has worked on over 20 books, 30 films and has written and or produced seven films. Carlos lectures throughout California and is a sought-after script doctor, writing coach and story consultant. Carlos’ clients range from top Hollywood screenwriters and New York Times best-selling writers all the way across the spectrum to new writers taking their first steps on the journey of writing. His supportive and professional approach makes it easy for writers to make forward progress and improve their material for professional.

Nile Cappello

Nile Cappello is a Los Angeles-based screenwriter represented by APA and Plattform. After graduating from Coronado High School in 2009 and UCLA in 2013, Nile worked in-house for Travelzoo and HuffPost before transitioning into freelance for outlets including AFAR, VICE, POPSUGAR, Eventbrite RALLY, and Bustle. In 2017, Nile was hired by Cross Creek—the production company behind Black Mirror, Ides of March, and Jackie—to adapt a memoir from the UK into a feature film; she's also currently co-producing an environmental docuseries with Producer Ross Dinerstein (1922, Jiro Dreams of Sushi), Academy Award-nominated director Kief Davidson (The Ivory Game, The Lego Brickumentary), and executive producer Leonardo DiCaprio of Appian Way (Before the Flood, The Wolf of Wall Street).
