Teaching-Learning Plans: The Teaching Faculty prepared their Teaching Learning Plans as
per the workload and submitted the same to their respective HODs at the end of June month.
Daily Logs: IQAC framed the new format for recording Daily Log and it has been decided that
faculties would maintain a weekly report, HODs to approve fortnightly and submit it to the
Principal every month. The Daily Log cites the lectures taken, methodologies used and linking
cross cutting issues and real life situations.
Bridge courses were initiated to bring the First Year students conceptual understanding at par
due to students coming from various streams. Introduction to bookkeeping and Accountancy
bridge course was for Arts and Science students while Basic Quantitative Methods was for Arts
and Commerce Students. The duration of the course was for 10 sessions.
Remedial lectures for the students who need extra support have been conducted.
Advance Learners: Measures were taken for advanced learner’s active involvement in
presentation, dialogues and discussion and quality reading.
Mentor-Mentee system for DBC was introduced with the help of Fr. Cyril to train our faculties
of all Departments. The Coordinator informed that a Workshop by Fr. Cyril had been arranged
for teachers in June 2018 to introduce the system.
Website: For handling in an effective manner, each department would be maintaining its own
website which will be accessible through the college website as well. Further, House Council
had appointed a vendor to update college website as per NAAC norms in Nov. 2018
Certificate Courses: The BMS department in collaboration with the academic partner M/s. ATS
Ltd., conducted online certificate course of Microsoft on Advance Excel for all BMS students.
In total 77 students registered for the same. The students were trained for 30hrs by the academic
partner and after a revision session, 72 students successfully completed the course and e-
certificates were issued by Microsoft.
Collaboration: Nehru College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore initiated to sign an Academic
collaboration with the college in November 2018. The HoDs who are also the IQAC members
were congratulated for successful completion of the formalities for signing of MOU with the

pattern in Jan month end. In this regard, feedback has been obtained from 167 respondents
(Students, parents, alumni, teachers and employers) from various colleges offering BMM. The
same was placed before the BOS members for consideration which paved the way for the Board
to finalize the course design for the whole University.
Procedure for Performance Appraisal System: The existing format for Staff Self-appraisal
and student feedback form on Teaching-Learning was considered to be too lengthy & hence
IQAC prepared a new format streamlining the existing PAS of the faculty. A standard procedure
of appraisal at 3 stages: 1. Self-Appraisal to be obtained from the teachers 2. Students-feedback
on teacher’s performance 3. Principal and respective Executive Directors to assess the
performance in tune with KRA as mentioned in appointment letters. The SOP for the same was
presented before the House Council for approval.
