    AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL

    OPERATIONS

The minimum separation between assignable fre-quencies in the aeronautical mobile (R) service shallbe 8.33 kHz.

It is recognized that in some regions or areas, 100kHz, 50 kHz or 25 kHz channel spacing provides anadequate number of frequencies suitably related tointernational and national air services and thatequipment designed specifically for 100 kHz, 50 kHzor 25 kHz channel spacing will remain adequate forservices operating within such regions or areas. It isfurther recognized that assignments based on 25kHz channel spacing as well as 8.33 kHz channelspacing may continue to co-exist within one regionor area.

    EFFECTIVE RANGE OF RADIO
