History 1976 Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak found Apple Computer, Inc. with $1,300.
Out of all the personal computer companies, Apple was the first to make it to $1 billion in annual sales.
In the year 1991, Apple released their PowerBook line of notebook computers.
Apple followed up the PowerBook Line of notebook computers with the Power Macintosh line in 1994.
In 1997 Steve Jobs became interim chief executive officer.
The all-in-one iMac computers hit the scene in 1998.

• The iPhone Challenger outsold the BlackBerry Torch9800, with 1.7 million iPhone 4 units, compared toBlackBerry Torch’s 150,000 phones. • Asustek Computer, Inc. is heavily feeling the pressureas the iPad is causing the demand for their Eee netbookto plummet.

Apple, Inc. Turbulence
• Apple Inc.’s Japan unit has felt the heat coming fromJapanese government, this is due to problems with thefirst generation iPod Nano batteries overheating.
• In 2008, there were 27 reported incidents of the iPod Nano batteries overheating.
• There were six cases where overheated iPod NanoBatteries cause fires resulting in four minor burninjuries.
•“Unbelievable Q2 results in July contained a 14% earnings surprise on a 61% increase in revenue.”
