Doing good.Having fun doing it.
Rotary Clubof HaddonfieldServing our Community, our Region, our World
Should someone ask a member of the Rotary Club of Haddonfield, “What’s Rotary, anyway?” the likely response will be short and simple:
“Rotary is about doing good, and having fun doing it.” More formally,
Rotary is about service and fellowship.
In over 200 countries around the world, more than 1.2 million
business, professional, and community leaders – members of 33,000+ Rotary clubs – offer their time, talents, and treasure to help
make the world a better place. They find it both worthwhile and satisfying.
s Each year since 2002, Rotarians have provided Dictionaries for thirD GraDers in Haddonfield’s three public schools and two private schools.
t With help from members of Haddonfield Memorial High School’s Interact Club, Rotarians prepare donated bicycles for shipment by PeDaLs for ProGress to Third World countries, where they will be refurbished and put to productive use.
Hundreds of residents and out-of-town visitors come toHaddonfield on Friday evenings in July to enjoy summer concerts on KinGs hiGhway. Our club has sponsored them for more than 30 years.
The proceeds of our annual Golf Tournament enable us to support organizations such as feLLowshiP house and resPonD center, both in Camden. Over 25+ years, the Tournament has generated more than $150,000 for the municiPaL aLLiance, a community-based organization that works to help students learn positive behaviors and avoid destructive decisions, especially with respect to drugs and alcohol.
t Haddonfield rotarians carry flags of many nations in the inDePenDence Day ParaDe, symbolizing Rotary’s international basis and influence.
