Fox Terriers

Height: 36 - 39cm

Weight: 6.8 - 8.6 Kg

Fox terriers live about 15 years. and need to be walked daily. they are high maintance and require

alot of attention.

Perfect for families, they love human's, but not so much other dogs. they are very good at being

guard dogs. You can be sure no one will arrive on your propety unannounced they can be very loud!

They are higly intelligent and tend to steal. Especailly if it's food. Or beg from you at dinner.

So don't be too surprised to come face to face with a pair of soft, brown eyes begging for scraps.

And when they not doing that they like to sniff araound where you were eating and lick the crumbs

off the floor.

Fox terriers may not be suitable for some people or families so do your homework before buying a

Fox terrier. For some Fox terriers can take time learning how to house train and if bored don't be

surprised if the Fox terrier runs off with your socks, shoes or towels, basically that's sure to get a

reaction from you!

Now on the subject of grooming. brushing loose hair is fine and they find it enjoyable, but may

make it challenging for you as Fox terriers are very playful. Bathing only when needed.

please remember they are high maintance and are playful will you want such a dog after the novelty

worn off?

They love competitions, are friendly with everybody - even other dogs. the Golden Retriever have

very few if any guard dog instincts. However Golden Retrievers will bark loudly when a stranger

approachs.

Golden Retrievers need daily mental and Physical exercise. they love to swim and can live in a

apartment. They are moderately active indoors and can live 10 -12 years. Golden Retrievers were

bred as gun dogs to fetch ducks and other games birds during hunting and shooting parties.



Beagle

Beagles are small to medium dogs. They are brave,sweet, and happy to see everyone. even

tempered, smart, gentle, excitable and determined. Beagles are great with children and other dogs,

but because of hunting instincts shouldn't be trusted with non-canine pets, unless socialized with

cats,etc when young.

Beagles have minds of their own, they are watchful and need patient and firm training.

They need the proper amount of physical and mental exercise. you can also buy animal scents and

play tracking games with your beagle to help satisfy it's instinct to track.

Beagles are curious and have habit to follow their noses. If they pick up a scent they may wander

off and noteven hear you calling them back, or care to even listen because they're too busy trying to

find the critter at the other end.

Beagles do just fine in apartments if they get lots of outdoor exercise. They are active indoors and

can live 12 - 15 years.

German Shepards

They need daily exercise to stay fit and healty. But don't chain or tie the dog. German shepards are

favoured because they can learn many, simple commands in as little as 5 repetitions which makes

them popular with police work, guiding the visually impaired, herding, search and rescue and many

other tasks.

But German Shepards isn't the breed best for you if you're away from home quite alot or for long

periods of time or they're start doing things you don't like like digging, barking or chew objects.

German Shepards can be suspicious and aloof to strangers.

Also they shed alot of hair and you will need to brush him a few times a week.

German Shepards are pretty healthy but it's important be aware of them before you get a German

Shepard. When it comes to feeding, feed them regularly 3 to 4 cups of dry food a day over the

course of two meals.



Labradors

Height: Males 22-24 inches

Females 21-23 inches

Weight: Males 60-75 pounds (27-34kg)

Females 55-70 pounds (25-32Kg)

They need human leadership and to belong as part of your family, great with kids and other dogs.

They can be easily trained. give them plenty of attention and walks and other activities or they can

be destructive. This also happens if you don't show leadership.

They can live for 10-12 years. You can keep them in an apartment if you walk them enough.

Becareful you don't let them eat to much, they are easy to train and popular as guides for the blind.

some of them can be very calm. And are used for search and rescue, police work, hunting,

retrieving, watchdag, service dog for the disabled and of course as a family companion.



Shih Tzu

Height: Upwards to 11 inches (28 cm)

Weight: Males 4 - 7.2Kg

Shih Tsu's can live for 10 to 16 years. And are very Happy, outgoing, friendly, playful, trusting,

gentle, affectionate and loyal.

Shih Tsu's are well known as a dog who wants to be a loyal companion.

Their hair covered faces and fluffy bodies capture the hearts of owners who absouluty love their

Shih Tsu's! They make great watchdogs and are very alert and will bark if anyone comes to your

property. When training remeber they can be stubbon but nothing that can't be overcome with a

tasty bribe! Housebreaking a Shih Tsu can take 6 to 8 months.
