Your dog can get distracted, which can be very dangerous when it’s off the lead. No matter how well trained your dog is, they’ll follow their instincts and respond to things that you won’t always be able to see or hear.

Keep your dog on a lead if you’re near a level crossing. Don’t wait until you’re on the level crossing, it might be too late by then. The lead helps you control your dog and keeps both of you safe.
