HOISTING MOTORS 5 1 ) MOTORS - asynchronous motors - double winding - synchr. speed : 3000 / 500 rpm - power from 1.9/0.3 to 30/5 kw - IP55 protection - insulation class F - tropicalized - with thermistors for over temperature protection - aluminium frame The design of the motors is based on a fact that maximum ambient temperature of 40°C and at a maximum altitude of 1000 m. If ambient temperature exceeds 40 °C, a motor from a higher classification must be selected : - for ambient temperature in range 40°C-55°C, the motor must be selected from one step higher in the motor group classification. - for ambient temperature in range 55°C-65°C, the motor must be selected from two step higher in the motor group classification. 2 ) BRAKES

HOISTING GEARS 6 Hoists types XS1, V2, XS3 are fitted with 3-train helicoidal reduction gear units, lubricated by semi-liquid grease. The reduction gear is not sealed, and the drum plays the part of the casing. The actuation of the drum is effected by a pinion engaging on a toothed crown wheel, which is one piece with the drum. Hoits types XS4, XS5, XS6 are fitted with 2-stage reduction gears, the first of helicoidal trains and a second epicycloidal stage. This is an oil-bath assembly, and the reduction gears are sealed units. The drum is actuated by a tapered shaft co-axial to the drum, actuating an end plate which is one piece (welded) with the drum.

LOAD LIMITER 12 On hoists sizes XS1, XS2, XS3, the load limiter is made up of a conical disk arrangement in a box unit which is inseparably joined to the frame (take account of the arrangement, the thickness, and the original dimensions). The fixed point or the jackshaft pulley exert a force downwards, from which a relocation of a few millimetres downwards results for the jackshaft subassembly. LIMIT SWITCH 13 The lifting run of the hoist is limited by two limit switches, which limit the movement :

upwards, at the maximum lifting height (C dimension set at the work) downwards, to avoid the hook touching the ground (set at the installation)

The rotating limit switches is fixed to the end of the drum and the switch are activated by the rotation of the drum.

SURFACE TREATMENT 14

Steel parts Prelimary treatment : Steel parts are shot blasted all over with steel particles. All rust and foreign particles are removed and the blast dust is cleaned away. If necessary the surface of thin steel plates is ground to garantee paint adhesion. Primary paint : - Primary painting is done by spray painting. Painting, drying time and temperature is chossen according to paint manufactures instructions. - MONO-COMPONENT REACTIF PRIMER PAINT, one layer, 30um. Finishing paint : - Finishing painting is done by spray painting. Painting, drying time and temperature is chossen according to paint manufactures instructions. - ACRYLIQUE POLYURETHANE, one layer 50 um color Black grey RAL 7021 (cover and cubicle are yellow RAL1028) Total paint thickness : 80 um Hoisting and travelling motors The aluminium frame is anodized to black Hoisting and travelling gear boxes The gearboxes are painted as the other steel parts.

TRAVELLING MOTORS 19 1 ) DESCRIPTION Each travelling machinery consists of interchangeable motor+brake and different ratio gearbox combinations. Due to the modular design the motor can be replaced without diXSounting the gear box from end carriage. .
