As defined by the map on the cover, the publi-cations are organized by culture area to encom-pass major media practiced by Native Americanartists and craftsmen of these various regions.Several Canadian publications also are includedfor their comparative information.
Although a few outstanding early works are in-cluded. for the most part these suggested read-ings are titles or editions of recent date. so thatthe majority of the publications should be readilyavailable for reference. or through inter-libraryloan, at your local library.

O. SUMMARY OF PROJECT ACTIVITIES SINCE 1969:Project went into effect in July, 1971. Late summer workshop washeld for benefit of teachers who had agreed to be building co-ordinators. Extensive ordering ,f materials was undertaken tosupport concentration of effort in EE. (Stock a Resource Center).A staff associate was employed to assist teachers in encounteringa new curriculum area. During the summer of 1971, twenty-twoteachers were involved in a two week workshop for the purpose ofdesigning EE concept oriented activities. These materials weresubsequently presented to the teaching staff by the buildingcoordinators. All materials are being used to some extent. Fieldtrips and school site surveys are being developed to coordinatewith EE activities.

L. From July 1970 to July 1971, approximately 20 trips were
made, from one to ten days long.
2. Since July 1971, we have been involved in 63 field trips which
ranged from two-days; to thirty-five days.
3. We have been involved in an Inner City Program to help local
community and settlement houses take their charges on half day,
full day, and overnight experiences of all kinds.

dormitories, dock, electricity, water facilities, and laboratory.

The sixth grade students attend camp for four dais and go to ten
different activities during this time. These activities are de --

If. they work fine, they canbe used as is; if not, they can be altered under the guidance ofthe staff and other teacher-students and tried again until saecessis achieved.
