INTRODUCTION

Cartel is designed to serve educators,librarians, and others interested inclassroom materials for use in bilin-gual bicultural education.

The Dissemination Center for Bilingua'lBicultural Education is a nationalproject funded by the U. S. Office ofEducation through the Region XIII Edu-cation Service Center under Title VIIof the Elementary and Secondary Educa-tion Act of 1965, as amended.

The intent of this annotated listingis to share with bilingual-biculturalproject personnel the information need-ed to make decisions in the acquisi-tion of relevant materials for use intheir programs. The descriptions willserve the purpose of informing objec-tively, rather than to recommend ordisparage items included. We will in-clude any materials received or sug-gested to us that are relevant. Whereit is possible, the actual materialswill be viewed.

In each case the publisher will bethe source for further information;addresses are included.
