PhD degree program involves a profound study of special

disciplines (Philosophy, Russian as a foreign language, Information

technologies), passing professional exams, mastering research

techniques, carrying out research in a corresponding speciality, and

systematization and analysis of the results obtained with a view to

completing a PhD thesis.

Graduate students work under the supervision of a scientific

adviser who provides assistance in planning and conducting a study,

preparing for professional exams, getting the study results published,

writing a dissertation and submitting it for preliminary examination

and subsequent defense, as well as ensures access to the materials

and equipment required.

Graduate school admission requirements for

foreign citizens

To be admitted to graduate school an applicant is required to have

Master's degree.

Propensity to carry out research as well as the level of English

proficiency sufficient for mastering the graduate educational program is

determined by the results of the interview.

Training is carried out in the full-time and part-time form of

education.

Applicants are to pass examinations on Philosophy and

Methodology of science, Russian as a foreign language, and

Information technologies.

The period of study in graduate school in the full-time form of

education is not more than three years, in the part-time form of

education – not more than four.

To improve their knowledge of Russian applicants might take up a

Russian language course organized at the Graduate school.

List of documents required for enrollment of

foreign citizens into Graduate school

1. An application addressed to the Head of the scientific organization.

2. The interview records report.

3. A copy of higher education diploma (Master’s degree or equivalent),

notarized, translated into Russian (if the diploma is issued in a foreign

country).

4. A copy of diploma transcript, notarized, translated into Russian (if

the diploma is issued in a foreign country).

5. Credential evaluation report.

6. A copy of Russian language course completion certificate (if

available).

7. The certificate on PhD candidacy examinations (for full-time and

part-time learning applicants).

8. The personnel records sheet.

9. Autobiography.

10. A copy of the passport, notarized, translated into Russian.

11.The medical examination report and a certificate of the HIV-negative

status of the applicant.

12. The agreement (if training is provided in accordance with

international agreements, as well as agreements on the implementation

of international programs or international programs at the request of a

foreign state, the applicants shall present a copy of the agreement).

13. A copy of the receipt of tuition payment.

14. The passport and the original of the diploma are presented in

person.

*Before applying to graduate school foreign applicants are required

to evaluate and match their foreign diploma/degree to a corresponding

Belarusian diploma/degree at the Republican Institute of Continuous

Education, Minsk, Moskovskaya str, 15, room 219, tel. (017)228-13-13.

The research organization provides assistance for foreign citizens

in getting a visa.

The health insurance policy is issued upon arrival at the Republic

of Belarus.
