Process

1. Submit shipping request in Logistics Portal:

- http://b2b.chrobinson.com/sites/faraday/SitePages/Home.aspx - Include

team member contacts in request.

- Email auto-generated shipment confirmation to [email protected] for

visibility.

2. Complete FF Export Detail (Excel) for each item in the shipment.

- Reference FF#

- Send to [email protected]

- Shipment cannot leave the U.S. until all data in this form is complete and a

Commercial Invoice is generated.

3. Crate and band the shipment.

4. If wood packing material, submit IPPC/heat treat certificate to

[email protected] and attach a copy to the crate.

5. Submit to HQ warehouse for handling.

of exam or certification:

- CCC

- Anti-Dumping

- Paint Registration

- O-Certification

- Energy Catalog Certification

- Wheel Test

+ Lead times vary from 3 working days to 3 months.


Lead Times


+ These can adversely affect lead times:

- Public holidays in China (no Customs work)

- Lack of customs classification data

- Lack of import license (FF and LeSee)

- Physical inspection by Customs or CIQ

- Shipment delay (overbooked or cancelled flights)

- Discrepancy between physical shipment and documents

- Lack of proper delivery address

- Damage during transit

+ These lead times assume CCC or O-registration. Wheel and paint registration

take substantially longer (see matrix).

Protectionist trade barriers require 100% inspection and elevated duty payments. Ideally

sourced in China. If must ship, due to 100% inspection, should ship separately from other goods to

prevent delays.

Paint is internationally considered a Dangerous Good

to ship, and China CIQ requires product data to be submitted

before import. Lead time is 2 months. Should ship separately.

Import license for electrical and mechanical products.

Certify to Customs that electrical appliances are automotive in nature and

do not qualify for the China Energy Certification Catalog (household electrical

items).
