design of the vehicle and protect the side sections.

2 Door cover strips

stainless steel underbody guard and an offroad grille.

The Audi Q7 has enough space.But there are some things you can just never have too much of.

A loading volume of over 2,000 litres should really be sufficient. Nevertheless, Audi Genuine Accessories

offers practical and attractively designed solutions at the ready for the transport of bulky items.

So you really can transport everything you want.

1 Carrier unit

For various roof rack modules such as cycle rack, kayak

rack or ski and luggage box. The profile section consists

of anodised aluminium tube. Easy to install and lockable.

Maximum permissible total weight for the carrier,

attachement and load 100 kg.

2 Bicycle fork mount

Comfortable handling. Lockable. Suitable for bicycles

with a quick-action lock on the front wheel. Maximum

load 17 kg. (Can only be used in conjunction with the

carrier unit.)

3 Bicycle rack

Made of specially shaped aluminium profile and powder

coated steel. Enables a bicycle to be particularly easily

mounted on the vehicle. Lockable. Maximum load 17 kg.

Front cycle rack

Made of matt anodised aluminium, secured to prevent

theft, completely pre-assembled. Not suitable for

1 Bicycle mount for the interior*

The tensioning straps and storage bags for the front

wheels provided enable bicycles to be fastened in the

luggage compartment. (For up to 2 bicycles with wheel

sizes up to 26 inches.)

2 Bicycle rack for the trailer towing hitch

Lockable rack for up to 2 bicycles with a maximum load

of 60 kg. Optional: extension kit for a third bicycle.

Easy mounting thanks to a simple plug-in mechanism.

The bicycle rack can be very easily folded away in a few

simple steps to open the luggage compartment. The

rack can be easily folded away and can be stored in the

bag supplied, thereby saving space.

It’s good that the Audi Q7 has a practical trailer towing

hitch. Even better, the removable trailer towing hitch offers

you plenty of freedom of choice. When needed, the spherical

housing can be fitted in next to no time and locked onto the

trailer towing hitch, which is permanently fixed to the vehicle.

Then the trailer is quickly and easily connected to the vehicle.

The 13-pin, fold-out socket provides the electricity necessary

for the trailer lights. The trailer towing hitch can be stored

cleanly and conveniently in the spare wheel well in the luggage

compartment when it is not being used.

The electrically swivelling trailer towing hitch is even more

convenient. A simple press of the rocker switch in the

luggage compartment and the trailer towing hitch swivels

electrically in and out. When the trailer is connected and

locked, the indicator light in the rocker switch indicates

that this has occurred safely and successfully.

Both trailer towing hitches have a trailer stabilisation system

which makes driving with a trailer easier – no matter whether

you want to transport a horse, a boat or a motorbike. It makes

use of the sensors of the Electronic Stabilisation Programme

(ESP) to dampen trailer vibration which, for example, may

have been caused by changing lanes, wheel ruts or side

winds. If there is moderate instability, braking interventions

on alternate sides of the front axle are sufficient. If there

is increasing instability, all 4 wheels will be braked and the

engine torque throttled.

2 Audi Entertainment mobile

9-inch screen with an integral DVD player. It is to be

installed on the front seat backrests. Excellent picture

quality due to the digital high resolution screen, offers a

high level of functionality and a variety of devices that

can be connected to it, such as the Bluetooth headset

(sold separately). The new holder for mobile end devices

makes it both easy to connect and usable outside the

vehicle. Prerequisite: Rear Seat Entertainment fitting in

Ideal supplement to the Audi Entertainment mobile.

Easy to fold away, can be practically stored away in the

1 Universal mobile phone holder

Enables telephone conversations to take place without

exposing the driver to high radiation and ensures that

the mobile phone can be safely stored whilst driving.

Suitable for many popular mobile phone models. The

mobile phone is placed easily into the cradle and

connects wirelessly with the vehicle’s external aerial.

This means that the adapter does not need to be

changed if you change your mobile phone. Prerequisite:

This was the day that Georges de

Mestral received his patent for

velcro. He thus posed a challenge for

the Audi developers of today: the

velcro test. Children’s shoes or

jackets often have velcro fastenings

which wear the material out due to

lodgement. The test therefore

involves pulling velcro strips off the

child seat covers repeatedly in order

to test their durability. Only when

the fibres have passed this and many

other tests are they good enough to

be processed into an Audi child seat.

But the design, as well as the quality,

must satisfy the high demands

of Audi. That is why the individual

threads are dyed according to the

exact specifications of our designers,

so that they perfectly match the

interior of an Audi. It practically

goes without saying that the cover

materials are Oeko-Tex® certified

and breathable.

We haven’t invented a guardian angel yet.

But we have developed a tracking

assistant that watches over your

vehicle with the help of satellite

technology and makes it easier to find.

The satellites of the Global Positioning

System (GPS) orbit 20,000 kilometres

above the Earth. They help to make

navigating and locating a stolen

vehicle easier. This is a major benefit,

because car theft is more common

than many people think. More than

2,300 cars are stolen every day in

Europe.² So it’s good to have the Audi

Tracking Assistant on hand. Then the

car can be located with GPS. In case

of theft, the Service Operating Center

(SOC), working together with the

police, takes over the tracking of the

vehicle. The first few hours after a

theft are crucial. In this way, 80% of

stolen vehicles can be tracked down in

less than 2 hours and in 27 European

countries. If you are affected, you have

the added assurance of 24-hour support

in your own language. The Audi Tracking

Assistant – it may not be a guardian

angel, but it’s a great comfort.
