• Approved 2 outputs, began work on another:– Began developing a response to the FCC’s NOI on the

National Broadband Plan

– 2 were liaison responses to ITU-R WP5D• 18-09-0058 is in response to a WP5D input from the German

regulator

• 18-09-0057 is in response to a WP5D input from the French regulator

• Completed 1 output between meetings:– RR-TAG held a conference call 27 May to complete

comments on the FCC’s National Broadband Plan NOI

– The output from the conference call (Doc. 18-09-0068r3) was submitted for an EC 5 day review

– It was filed with the FCC by the 8 June 2009 deadline

– It is available on 802.18’s Mentor web site https://mentor.ieee.org/802.18/documents

• Work planned for the July plenary meeting:– Develop an input for an IMT-Advanced RIT

– Respond as needed to ITU-R liaisons

– Review and possibly comment on the FCC Medical Body Area Networks NPRM

– Review comments and reply comments on the FCC National Broadband NOI and possibly file ex parte comments

– Develop comments on EN 300 328

Active participation is encouraged!

• 802.18 needs consistent participation from all wireless WGs– Our charter is to provide balanced representation of the

interests of all of the wireless WGs before the FCC, other regulatory bodies and the ITU-R

– Other members of wireless WGs who can attend 802.18 as their primary group, or at least substantially, are also encouraged to participate

– Remember … attendance in 802.18 meetings counts towards maintaining your voting rights in your “home WG”
